Strong perfume and B.O. smell

While our over all stay was good. My wife and i are sensiyive to smells. As we walked in to the lobby we were hit with the over powering smell of perfume and then once we got to the front desk the perfume smell was joined with a very pungent smell of body odor. While the rest of the stay we didnt smell the body odor again the purfume smell remained in the lobby and the elevator. My wife would almost immediately get a head ache whenever she encountered it.

The room was 26 degrees and the thermostat would not regulate the room temperature. Maintenance came to the room but only turned off the thermostat and said that it happens this time of year and brought fans. The room over night with 2 fans blowing full blast was 26 degrees. I didn’t sleep at all. I would not recommend this hotel until they spend some money on their very outdated heating system.

Only challenge was parking, but managed to find street parking nearby. The room was spacious and clean. One side of the bed frame charging ports did not work, but plenty of other outlets in the room made up for it.

The location was convenient with the boardwalk and the ferry terminal being only a 2 minutes walk away and the citadel being 5 minutes away was extremely convenient.

We booked the two queen beds bedroom with living area and kitchenette. We had lots of room to sleep 6 and room to spread out with the separate bedroom. You are right downtown Halifax so you can walk the boardwalk, see all of the sights and take in the restaurants and nightlife. Great experience.

Flags outside our room were very loud with the wind blowing all night, room was very hard to heat. Floors were freezing, we had to turn heat up to 30 to get some warmth in room. We did not complain or advise the staff. They were busy so we made do.
