An old fashioned hotel in a great position in the

The hotel is beautifully situated in the middle of the town in large grounds. Furnishings are old fashioned making the rooms feel rather dark. The hotel has a long history with interesting pictures on the walls illustrating its life as a post war hospital. We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant and the continental breakfast was fine.

Travelling with a newborn had everything we needed. They had received our cot request and acknowledged at check-in, but wasn’t set up in the room, which is only a minor downside to what was overall a good experience. The breakfast is pancakes, pastries, fruit, cereal, juice, drinks and the price reflects the fact there’s no hot breakfast.

Great spot to stay right in the heart of Hamner. The food downstairs at Edits own restaurant was unbelievably delicious!! The accom was clean and very comfortable. Easy check in and check out.

Hotel going through a few upgrades which is great to see. The restaurant Isobel for dinner was amazing! Great food. Breakfast wasn’t as varied, only option was continental. Would have like to have more options for TV/movies in the room. However, it a great location and staff were very friendly.

This property was perfect for our short vacation, everything was easily accessable and staff were very helpful. The food was great and very reasonably priced. Very happy to come back to this accommodation again.

The room was well heated. An extra chair in the room would have been wonderful. When I booked the room the photos on the website showed the room that I had booked had a shower stall. But we ended up with a bath tub with a shower attached to the wall.

The bed was super comfy. But I didnt like that my room was extremely far away from the door/carpark. The room felt hidden and hard to get to. The staff had most their cleaning storage down where my room was and every time I walked past they never greeted me or smiled. Felt unfriendly.
