The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views and private oceanfront decks. Elevator service to all levels makes this property a convenient choice for all ages: there's no need to haul luggage or groceries up long flights of stairs.

You'll be just a few steps from the ocean via a private wooden walkway. Durant Station also offers many amenities, including one of Hatteras Island's largest pools with an adjacent hot tub. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. The Community Center is ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, attending wedding parties and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a 50-inch plasma TV, a pool table, a gas fireplace, and a complete kitchen on the upper level.

This first-floor condo is tastefully furnished and well-equipped to make your stay comfortable and memorable. About Time features a private, 14-foot oceanfront deck, two TVs, satellite HDTV service with DVR, two DVD players, a CD player, and free high-speed WiFi.

Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). A large, separate fish-cleaning station, grills, and outdoor showers complete the picture.

The complex and apartment were both clean. We enjoyed our stay. Loved the pocket doors, with limited square footage, they came in handy! The dunes make it a bit difficult to see the beach and ocean from the first floor so I would recommend higher floors if you want better visibility. Our balcony had a few very soft spots and exposed nails which were concerning-hopefully they repaired quickly after we reported. The pool and hot tub were cleaned and maintained daily. We will gladly return for future visits

I always stay at a condo in Durant Station because it’s a great location. The elevator and luggage carts make it easily accessible and this pet-friendly condo is perfect.

A little piece of heaven.

I just want to say this first we loved our stay in Durant Station. We have been coming down here for over 12 years staying at Durant Station. But there are a few things I would like to bring to the owner’s attention. The balcony needs some work u have a very bad soft spot on the deck someone is going to fall through the floor. I understand that the unit is a pet friendly unit but there was dog hair all over the balcony. I had to sweep it up. On the inside of the unit the furniture needs updated the coffee tables n end tables have chew marks all over them. The cushions on the couch n chairs could use a good cleaning. The curtains where the sliding doors are really dirty to. All the storage units need a good cleaning out. Almost all the storage units had old rusted beach chairs umbrellas etc. Not sure what was happening with the carports but there were huge puddles of standing water. Those puddles were there the whole week not sure if something was leaking. I have never seen that before. I would also suggest u have someone go around the property and just pick up the trash around the grounds. The property management sure has changed at Durant Station..

Condo très près de la mer; permet d’éviter de prendre la voiture pour se promener sur la longue plage. Ce logement est facile d’accès et comporte à peu près tout ce qui est nécessaire dans la cuisine. Lit confortable. À première vue impeccable; cependant les propriétaires d’animaux devraient être plus soucieux des autres et empêcher leur animal de compagnie de prendre place sur les sofas ou de prévoir une couverture le cas échéant. Les sofas mériteraient un nettoyage à fond.

Great ocean view condo

The condo was great with an ocean view. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the condo is on a raised first floor so we could see over the dunes to the ocean. We stayed off season (December 18-21) so it was very quiet, no issues with parking or loud neighbors. The unit came with bath towels and sheets. Also in the unit were: 2 rolls of TP, 1 roll of paper towels, 2 dishwasher pods, hand soap, dish soap, 3 packs of laundry soap and 2 garbage bags. The heat in the unit couldn’t be set to anything higher than 71 degrees. The walkways are right outside the bedroom so we could hear people (rarely) walking by. Sitting on the balcony all we could hear were the waves. The unit is directly across from the elevator which is great for moving in and out, but could be noisy if the building is busy. The unit could use some door mats at the front and balcony doors to catch some of the sand. The bedroom needs a second nightstand as well as extra pillowcases for the extra pillows. The unit has a drip coffee maker that works even though the hot plate is very rusty. We did find that coming in the off season made finding open restaurants a little difficult. We did catch the Snack Shop by the Ocracoke Ferry on its last day. The food was fabulous! All the other restaurants in Hatteras Village were closed, so we headed to Frisco and ate at the Tavern on 12. I highly recommend the pimento mac and cheese!

The condo was good for what we needed it for especially for the price. It was off season and very cold. We didn’t really get to enjoy the amenities and the fact that we were on the beach.

Comfortable place for two

This neat and updated unit (digital door lock and ‘smart’ thermostat) was perfect for my wife and me. Everything worked. Quiet neighbors. Ocean visible off the porch. They do ask you to unload the washed dishes before you leave (it would be better for new occupants to open the dishwasher to be assured they are clean) and some other chores, but worth it for the price and place.

Terrible furniture

The property is great but the furniture is terrible. The bed is extremely hard and had tape on it and the futon is not comfortable at all, resulting in terrible back pain and no sleep.

cute little place, plenty of room for 2 adults & a dog. nicely apointed kitchen, all the basics are on hand. But, lots of burned out lightbulbs, given this is a dog friendly property we were expecting wear & tear as well as some cleaning concerns. However it was certianly not as clean as we'd hoped. A unit this compact without carpets etc... is simple enough to keep tidy & do a deep clean between rentals...

Terrible night sleep

All of the accommodations were great except the bed. It was so uncomfortable and it was not a good night's sleep at all. My husband and I woke up every morning with back and hip pain. That mattress needs to be replaced with a higher quality one ASAP.

Perfect for relaxing

Absolutely a wonderful property! Very easy process to book, all questions were answered and check-in was a breeze. The property has an amazing view of the Atlantic and the sound of the surf was so soothing! This one bedroom was perfect for my husband and me! The kitchen has all you need for cooking and the local restaurants are great when you want to go out for breakfast, a sandwich, or a nice dinner! The balcony was perfect for viewing the ocean over coffee or cocktails, reading and relaxing, or watching the ocean! Haterras is a quiet village that fitted our needs perfectly after 14 months of Covid isolation! We are already planning to return!
