Sea-Love is a comfortable, two-bedroom, top-floor condo located in the exclusive Durant Station Condominiums. Complete with a private oceanfront deck, direct beach access, and unparalleled views combined with all the comforts of home including, a well-equipped kitchen, comfy furnishings, a primary suite with king bed, private bath, and deck access, Satellite HDTV with DVR. Sea-Love is sure to steal your heart. The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs!

Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll enjoy a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools with an adjacent hot tub. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, wedding parties, and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a large-screen TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level.

The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete. All units are tastefully furnished and fully equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. All Durant Station condos have central A/C, cable TV with streaming, high-speed WiFi for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your peace of mind.

Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Some units have a stackable washer/dryer (see individual descriptions). A large separate fish cleaning station, barbecue grills, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. Sea-Love Review

We have stayed at Durant Station for several years in other units which were great, but the other units in no way matched up to this one. The ocean views were spectacular, the house was spotless upon arrival, the house was fully furnished, including anything needed in the kitchen for meal preparation and we definitely plan to stay here again. I can think of no negative comments for this unit. Great stay and great vacation!

The condo is very comfortable but I suggest you bring a fan for the oceanfront bedroom because there is not much AC in that room. We used a fan the entire time to keep the room cool. Would definitely recommend this condo and would consider renting again.

VACASA not as good

Condo was not clean, dirty used leg wrap left on bedroom floor, floors not clean. We informed VACASA immediately, never got any contact or acknowledgement. We rented for 2 weeks, no extra toilet paper, or towels. Had to go in search of extra dishwasher soap, paper towels. And no discount even though we did not get a cleaning between weeks, not even a change of sheets. VACASA is too corporate for my taste. They are nickel and diming renters to make more money.

Small and uncomfortable

Felt very crowded with 4 adults. Living area only provided 3 seat on an uncomfortable sofa. Listing showed maximum of 4 at any time but had 6 stools for kitchen seating which also crowded things up. Kitchen was stocked with a lot of pots, pans and utensils which filled all cabinets not allowing food storage which caused counter (dining area) crowding. Polywood deck chairs are nice but need pads. Overall complex needs maintenance and cleaning. Not a five star operation.

SeaLive is great but not so Vacasa

Instructions to pick up the Parking Pass should indicate it is to be picked up at the “Outer Beaches Realty” office . I spent some time in the dark trying to find a Durant Station or Vacasa office in total darkness driving up and down the road. Met another person checking in equally as lost. Finally saw the Outer Beaches Realty. All the sign lights were out and had we not gotten out and walked around would never find it. Next day elevator was out. I called the after hours 800 and left the issue with my contact info. No response. Next day I emailed Vacasa and Outer Beaches since I still wasn’t sure who to call. They finally fixed the elevator and emailed me. If you are on the third floor it is 69 steps from the ground up as my wife reminded me several times. Bottom line is the condo is great but the Property Manager should be a Hatterass local not some off shore call center. Messaging should clearly identify the Outer Beaches Realty as your contact for parking passes. They need to leave the lights on so you can find your 7/24 available office lol.

Great house-subpar company

The house was great. We stayed last year when it was still Outer Beaches. The new rental company is garbage. They sent us the wrong code to get in. I reported our shower head had broken off on Monday by the following Sunday it still hasn’t been fixed. The elevator was out the entire week. Fortunately, no one in our party was disabled but lugging all of our luggage and groceries up three floors was not fun. The least Vacasa could have done was supply a lift or some extra help. They didn’t even offer to give some money back for the inconvenience! Wish it were still Outer Beaches!

Great stay!

The condo was clean, in great condition and had everything we needed. The kitchen is so well stocked that there was little room to store our groceries! The coin operated laundry is on the first floor several doors down to the right when exiting the elevator. Luggage carts are located there and were a great help with transporting our gear and groceries to the third floor.

This was our second stay at Seven Stars. The location and views are perfect for us. Love the layout of the house. My only complaint this time was the house seemed a bit more worn than 3 years ago when we stayed the first time. May want to do some deep cleaning of furniture cushions... they smelled. Carpet could use a full cleaning... felt dirty. I do realize it’s the beach and a pet friendly place so I understand the wear and tear.
