Hawaiian Hale House is located in the quiet beachside town of Punalu'u, Oahu. This side of the island is known for picturesque white sand beaches, calm waters all year round, and crystal clear waters perfect for snorkelling and swimming.

Hawaiian Style: please remove shoes when entering the home. House slippers and shoes are ok to use in the home.
Please keep windows and doors closed due to ocean spray and sea salt. Sea salt ruins electronics and appliances causing them to rust and corrode.
The home is available for older children as the 6 ft sea wall has no railings - and is slippery when wet. Use caution when under the coconut trees.

Fantastic Ocean Front House

Unbelievable, right on the ocean and a crazy beautiful house loaded with everything we could possibly need. our stay in this house was like a magical dream. the entire sky and ocean and beach in a very private place. Diane was the best host. every morning was a spectacular sunrise. we had our coffee and watched the sun come up. tons of water toys, water shoes. we didnt really need to leave the property. we will be back next year.

HONEYMOONING HAWAIIAN STYLE

This beautiful small home is perfect for a couple who wants to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of the typical touristy areas. You can step outside your immaculately clean vacation home and onto the beautiful patio overlooking the ocean or take 25 steps onto the pristine white sand beach. My new husband and I spent 6 blissful days exploring the entire island. Of the 4 Hawaiian islands I’ve visited, Oahu has the most beautiful and accessible beaches of them all. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked for a vacation rental, but as a seasoned home cook I would’ve appreciated a wok and a coffee grinder to enjoy freshly ground beans in the drip coffee maker. We made use of the rice cooker and appreciated the ample cookware available. The local grocery store Tamura’s is fairly well-stocked, but the Foodland in Kuhuku is even better. The bed is soooo comfortable and the shower was perfect after days hiking or at the beach. This home is on a major road and we were not bothered by the road noise, as we are city folk used to road noise. We would’ve loved to enjoy opening up the windows to enjoy the ocean air/breeze, but this is not allowed. If we were to stay again, we would be sure to request the plug in air fresheners not be present, as they triggered an asthma attack for me. This was remedied by airing out the house for a couple days while we were there at risk of our security deposit not being refunded.

Great spot on the beach!

We all loved our stay, watching for turtles and riding waves. The kids loved having their own spaces to sleep, great use of space and everything you needed.

Amazing!

This beach house was absolutely perfect…. All of the amenities you will need! We hardly left the place as the beautiful scenery is right in front of it. We enjoyed our time on the private beach, fishing, swimming and boogie boarding. Lots of stores and restaurants/food trucks nearby. You won’t be disappointed! Di was a pleasure to work with, exceptional communication.

Beautiful and relaxing better than the pictures even show!

Completely satisfied in every respect for location and thorough way the beautiful home accommodated additional items like beach toys fishing poles nice outdoor private area with comfortable lounge chairs etc. fresh cur fkowes, everything beachy and tasteful!! Highly recommend if you like the country Hawaiian experience with a very quiet beach and no crowds. Loved the experience!!!

Did not enjoy the stay

We come to Hawaii (often) to enjoy the breeze, sound of the waves, to relax, enjoy company of family, to have privacy, to be free from the day to day stress of life. PLEASE BE AWARE OF HOUSE RULES. (No sand/salt on floors/furnitures, can’t open windows and doors, etc. ) NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR IS WATCHING AND WILL TELL ON YOU. We didn’t not enjoy our stay at all. We felt no privacy and being watched constantly. We could not open the windows and doors to enjoy the breeze and the sound of the waves - defeated whole purpose of our vacation. It was stressful. Definitely lesson learned. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You may get a water view but you also get the road noise and (again) the very strict rules. Too much rules to where it will stress you. You won’t get your refund back. Book someplace else.

Beautiful getaway

This property was beautifully maintained. Our kids had a great time playing on the beach and we loved sitting out watching the turtles. It was close to the North Shore which we really enjoyed that part of Hawaii.

Beyond expections!

This house far exceeded our expectations! Absolute perfection in every area. The views were heavenly. Woke up to a sunrise from the comfy king bed every morning. Spotlessly clean. Beautifully decorated. Owner had anything we could ever want! Kitchen had everything, and appliances, dishes, cookware all looked new. Best house we have ever rented! Diane was a gem to communicate with!

Amazingly Beautiful Oceanfront Home

We had an incredible time at this oceanfront home. It is clean, well-apppinted, in a beautiful location and perfect for kayaking. The property owners are very welcoming and fantastic to communicate with.

Excellent amenities, very clean and comfortable, thoughtful touches, easy access. Loved having a kayak, fishing gear, and the bag of ice was particularly nice to have. Bed comfy, shower excellent, great lounging, gorgeous sunrises, wonderful indoor and out door spaces. However, was shocked to be just a few feet from busy highway, which was very noisy - for this price bracket, one expects to "get away from it all." There should have been mention of the noise so people can make an informed choice. Also--the scent control (plug-ins, highly scented laundry) caused headaches. We unplugged them all and opened windows, and by 3rd day it was much better.

Loved our own beach

I couldn’t have imagined how perfect this house was for my husband and I and our 13 and 12 yr old boys. This was our own beach oasis. Day 1 learn to surf on north shore. Day two kayak with 12 and 13 yr old snorkeling behind...saw sea turtles and lots of fish. It was beautiful aqua water on a sunny day. Day 3 badminton on the private beach. Day 4 boogie board at another beach towards the south shore and cliff jump (special place) as well as hike the cliffs. Day 5 find a coconut and beach toys washed up by the night storm. Actually opened the coconut on a rock next to the house and it was Delicious! So much fun and so perfect. The home was beautiful with perfect sleeping arrangements and everything we needed. We loved it

A perfect honeymoon getaway!

This well appointed home has all the creature comforts you would find in a 5-star hotel. Comfortable beds with large tvs, reclining sofas, air conditioning, large walk-in shower with a separate deep soaking tub - all while providing spectacular views! We woke up each morning to see the sunrise over the ocean, either walking on the beach - or from in bed - or from the dining room. You choose! You can see down the coastline, green tropical mountains sometimes misty from the brief morning showers. The beach was easy to access with shallow, clear water and we saw turtles out snorkeling! While there can be the occasional traffic noise, it was barely noticeable. I wouldn't trade being on the beach for anything! This location is about as perfect as a relaxing, tropical Hawaiian vacation can be!
