i would like to state that i am a huge fan of the Mitsis group and have had over 12 stays at their hotels, however this is my first trip to one after covid and a lot has changed. the quality of the food is not great, and even the themed restaurants are serving food which is not good! the Rinela has had a great face lift and the sea is delightful, whilst we were there it was so windy and the life guards were excellent at keeping a watch. the staff in general were ok however the way they run the breakfast and dinner service is not great, you feel as though you are a number to be feed and moved on, not a very luxurious experience in fact the opposite. this may be due to the fact that it was August and the hotel was full. the pizza on the beach was ok, not very tasty and lacking in ingredients. the BBQ would run out everyday of simple things like cheese, hot dogs, lettuce! they also have a tendency to speak in Greek about the guests and as i do speak Greek it was not always very nice! the beach service is very hit and miss, you may get offered a drink and then nothing for the next two days. they just need to sharpen everything up and keep a smile on their faces, after all they are selling themselves as a 5 star hotel. i will never return to the Rinela and i am sad standards have dropped so much. the back office staff try and accommodate you as much as they can but again they are not very careful with their words. i would rate this hotel as a 4 star.
