Staff is very friendly. Rooms are tidy, just didn't have a large space or cabinets to store things. No refrigerator in the room. Breakfast is pretty decent as well.

Reception staff not vey helpful. Advised parking receipt available on checkout. Not the case, receptionist advised on departure day that parking was free. When challenged then informed me that I had paid for it however could not provide a receipt for transaction. Why not really clear ?

Cold room with no heating, breakfast staff not at their post and problems at check-in. We chose this location because I’ve always had good experiences at IHG properties. I’m a member and frequently stay for business and leisure. This property was not up to their usual standard and I would not stay here again. 1) Comfort - the heating system was off and the room was freezing cold. The radiator was not on, though I turned it up to maximum. I tried the HVAC as well - set it to heat at the highest temperature in heating mode but it was little more than a fan. I complained and they did nothing so I just put up with it as we were only staying for one night. 2) We had an early flight and needed to set off by 8:00am. Breakfast service was not scheduled to start until 7:30am. We turned up at 7:35 and waited - no one was around. I wandered in and found a cleaner, asked her if breakfast service was on. She had to go find someone to man their post. We were not seated for another 5-10min, mind you we were the only ones there. 3) Poor check-in - I booked a rate which included parking and breakfast for two. Despite this, the person checking us in insisted I needed to pay a further £7 for parking. I knew they were wrong, so I insisted and stood there fumbling through my emails trying to prove it. Once I showed it, they ‘checked their system again’ and miraculously I didn’t have to pay after all. If I hadn’t been so certain about which rate I selected, I’d have ended up paying twice.

Room we had was a little tired. Just needed a couple of things freshening up. ( peeling paper , bathroom door rotting). Tea tray a little dusty and no biscuits for our morning cuppa. Bed etc clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Overall a good trip, staff were lovely. Couple little things such as hair dryer didn’t work a few minor things broken such as the lamp. But the Staff again very helpful and no stress or drama and the room was adequate. Would stay again.
