Owners screwed over by Hotels.com
This experience started off really badly due to Hotels.com allegedly not having paid the property. We were asked to pay when the owners arrived but after proving that we had already paid, the owners let us stay but were still adamant that they hadn't been paid. Unfortunately, we believe them. I contacted Hotels.com on line who said they would ring the property, which they did but no-one spoke Spanish, so I talked to them. After a lot of time getting nowhere, they told me that the owners needed to contact the Billing Department. When I asked if anyone there could speak Spanish, I was told, no. What is the point of having a Hotel company that can't converse with the people that make their money for them. I said I would talk to them but the number I was given was unrecognised. A total disgrace on behalf of Hotels.com.
The owners treated us with respect and showed us to our rooms even though they had not been paid. They did state that they no longer deal with Hotels com because of not being paid before as well. They even booked a table for us in their lovely village.
I said I would try and sort this when I got back home but I have hit obstacles at every turn and have not been able to do it, which has annoyed me. Hotels.com, sort yourselves out!!
