My final stop in Japan at Hiroshima, this hotel is located right at the station and the best location that I could imagine, level 2 is Tram and level 1 is bus station. Travelling to Hondori Shopping Street is merely 10mins, such a pity that I am staying for a short trip in Hiroshima. Clean rooms , friendly staffs and able to accommodate with my request of taking care of my luggage while I attend with my business here. I will recommend to my family and friends who are visiting Hiroshima to stay in this Hotel

Beautiful brand new appearing hotel located directly in the train station with busses, trains and electric cable cars at your door. Very quiet, clean hotel with provided pajamas. Highly recommend!!!!

The Granvia South Gate is a new property (as of 2025) located above Hiroshima's main railway station. If you haven't been to Hiroshima recently, you may not know that it is one of the most vibrant, active, elegant cities anywhere. Constantly thronged with visitors, the station is a bee-hive of coming and going. The entrance to the hotel is a very modest dark glass entryway immediately opposite the streetcar station, which has recently been incorporated into the main station. The hotel lobby is on the 7th floor, spacious yet always bustling with guests. The check-in is semi-automated, but with sufficient staff to jump in when the inevitable glitches confound guests. I arrived too early to check in, and staff very courteously accommodated me by storing my luggage. Once my card key was emitted by the registration machine, it also directed the elevator automatically to the proper floor. The "superior single" room was a bit disappointing. The layout was unusual: toilet room separate and across the hall from the combined washroom and shower-bath room (with full-size tub). There was no closet; just racks with coat hangers along the wall.It was difficult to find space to open my mid-size suitcase. Lights in the hallway and room are on the same circuit. There is no footlight, and no night table beside the bed on which to charge your phone or put a cup of water for the night. Overall, good...but clearly a step below the standard of other Granvia hotels.

This property had everything and more. Location, wonderful staff, so spacious and modern rooms, a variety of shopping and dining options. This was our first time visiting Hiroshima and the Granvia South Gate hotel. We are already planning our next trip back, and will sta longer. It was absolutely amazing!

Two-day stay in Hiroshima. The hotel is in the Hiroshima train station, so very convenient to catch the loop bus to the Peace Museum, as well as the train to catch the ferry to Miyajima island.

During our 20-day journey, the most memorable meal was at UmiShima Dining, the onsite restaurant. Although it operates as a café and buffet-style venue, the à la carte dinner options were exceptional. The Wagyu steak was hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted, and the cod appetizer was bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive—attentive, warm, and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here. The hotel itself is lovely and ideally situated for exploring Hiroshima’s key attractions and makes for a perfect base for a day trip to Miyajima Island.

Connected to Hiroshima station and the minamoa mall so everything was super walkable and convenient! There were plenty of food options including the best okonomiyaki I've ever had just one floor down from the hotel lobby. Very easy check in and self store luggage area for leaving luggage prior to check in. Amazing views from the lobby as well. Very clean and modern room with a comfortable bed and decently sized room by Japan hotel standards.
