After arriving after 22 of travel and being a platinum Expedia member the lady takes my payment and then says oh you only booked for one person so now you must pay 500,000 dong each day more. It was a total oversight when I booked but seriously my membership should be giving me an upgrade to a suite. They had space as I checked before but she wouldn’t upgrade me. I was given 202,000 food and drink card like many others get. That amounts to very little and they would even accept it in the lounge because it was happy hour. I disappointed. Expedia I have been loyal to you for many many years and I never get the upgrades. I would prefer to hear back from you to sort this out. You also make it very difficult to connect by chat as you disable the text feature and you don’t have what’s app.

Then hotel is centrally located to everything you'd want to walk to like the museum, art galleries, restaurants, & local shops. Our room was great. Our room did not have a street or river view however it did have a window that opened to a lovely internal courtyard with plants, a table and seating for 2 and bench swings. The courtyard is accessible for use although I believe we were the only guests to use it. We really appreciated the quietness when we arrived for the night to sleep. The water pressure is very strong. Robes and slippers are provided. I really appreciated the bedside control panel for all the lights. The breakfast buffet was delicious! All the food was fresh. The buffet stations were kept clean and well stocked. If an item was finished it was either refilled or cleaned up. The staff were extremely professional. They all were welcoming and polite when we arrived and left. I highly recommend The Hotel Grand Saigon. I will definitely stay here again.

The Hotel is clean spacious and gives the elegant old architecture. The roof top bar restaurant is overpriced for subpar food. They will not serve regular glass of water unless you order a cocktail. The bottled water is expensive. I was quite surprised by the price of their menu items having travelled around Vietnam. We had come from a hotel that could not do enough to make your stay memorable to this commercial hotel so that certainly had a barring on our experience. Breakfast buffet was lacking although they had a wide variety of items to choose from.

Grand Saigon is a lovely and historical hotel and we were very happy with our stay. Room are nice, hotel is beautiful. There is a lovely roof top restaurant, but food is not the best and staff completely forget to service there customers.
