I stayed here twice 2-3 years ago and it was all very good and clean. Not so anymore. In the upstairs room 5 of the heritage cottage I found the following: Light switches were so grimy I had to clean them. Bench was dirty and sticky, I cleaned that too. Bedside table had something white spilled all over the front of the drawers, I cleaned that too. Cupboard wall next to bin and walls next to kitchen area were all dirty with things that had been splashed/spilt. Window does not fully close. Pedestal fan was very broken and literally fell apart when I picked it up, it was then a balancing act up against the wall to use it, along with the wooden floor that is bowing and uneven. It was at least 30 celsius in the room on this day/evening, there is no aircon. There was hair on the toilet and the toilet paper on the holder had no cardboard centre, looked like it had been wrapped around the holder. Shower glass was filthy. The cups and glasses were dirty and there wasn't a single fork. But the best part? As another reviewer also stated, I too found drugs in the cutlery drawer, indicating that this room had not been cleaned properly if at all, in some time. I put my own towels over the bed and pillow, had a nap and left just before midnight. It seems there has been a change of ownership and this particular building out the back is clearly not being well maintained. The pool has several green, slimy looking patches. Disgusting, will not stay ever again.

To be honest. I don’t even want to stay here but had already paid and can’t deal with staff. Trying to come up with excuses as to why this is an okay standard. Second room over two night both pretty much the same. Cheap yes. But cleanliness should be priority Hair in beds and bathroom. And small Kitchener covered in coffee and other guests food. Is not okay regardless off price. Won’t stay again after this reservation

The windows need a good cleaning and the shower basin was in need of a good scrub. The basin in bathroom is blocked. A very noisy apartment as it appeared that everytime someone flushed a toilet in the building, we had the rushing water noise in our wall. And that was all night. There was also no shortage of dust and fluff. The manager was good, but his cleaners need a good rocket. The main upstairs entrance door was like operating a combination lock and I observed quite a few people stuck outside trying to manipulate the lock.

The location was ok but you really needed a car to get to the city. A shopping centre was less than 5 minutes away by car which was handy. The room was quite spacious and had the standard coffee, tea, toaster etc. Cleanliness was average as there were a few streaks of something on the table and the base had a layer dust.

The heater/fan in the bathroom was leaking water on bathroom floor when it was raining. The shower looked like it had not been cleaned from previous guests. Bed was clean and comfortable. There must have also been a problem with heat pump/cooler.. After using and turning off it continually clicked. The only way I could stop this was to remove key to cut off power supply in room. Might need to be checked. Found it hard to sleep with the noise.

Great deal

The customer service was top notch, very helpful and friendly. There is a washer/ dryer for those that are packing light like we were. Parking is a little tough but lots of overflow lots. The walls were thin so you could hear the neighbors but for the price, it’s a great place to stay!

Stayed here fr couple nights, previous as well as new owner both were really gud and always happy to help. Room was gud. Only issue was the housekeeping staff. Soap, shampoo dispenser was empty. Went to see the housekeeping staff (female staff) , she did came to refill it but was very unprofessional. She took a fork from kitchenette, to prick the top of bottles to put in dispenser. After that she just rinsed the fork and left it back there. Rest linen were not changed we stayed for 4 nights, and was not sure it was suppose to be done by housekeeping or not. Bathroom wasn't cleaned even once while we were there. Owner is doing his best, always running around to make sure customers are happy. I wish housekeeping staff should be giving their 100 percent too, to make customers stay memorable.

The smoking balcony is not pleasant for other guests with their windows open. This needs to be looked at. As it was disgusting walking back into the room with the smell of smokes.
