The Tipsy Turtle is two houses to the crystal blue waters and silky sand of the Gulf of Mexico! With a great location, near the Manatee Public Beach, guests will love the added entertainment and dining options steps away.

The main floor features the kitchen, living and dining rooms with patio doors which let in the light and provide access to the verandah.

Guests have their choice of two bedrooms, one with a King bed and the other with two double beds. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and patio door access to a second verandah and includes crisp linens and plush towels from our professional linen service. Your guests will stay connected with complimentary WIFI and enjoy all of the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer.

The private heated saltwater pool highlights the backyard. Relax in a pool lounger and enjoy the island breezes of paradise. An outdoor shower allows you to rinse the sand from your suit before entering the pool.

Enjoy a meal in the covered poolside lounge area, complete with a gas grill and TV. The added convenience of a dumbwaiter is available to send food and groceries up to the main living area.

Tipsy Turtle is easy walking distance to Manatee Public Beach, Publix, restaurants, and to the free island trolley, which travels the entire length of the 7 miles of the island. Hop on and off at your leisure and explore shopping, dining and the beaches. The perfect location for your next beach vacation!

Saltwater Pools
These pools produce water that feels softer to the touch. Contrary to popular belief, saltwater pools do contain chlorine, but the levels of it are lower and the way it's introduced into the water is different than in a chlorine pool. Instead of using chlorine tablets or sticks, salt is added directly to the water and a salt chlorine generator (also known as a saltwater chlorinator) converts the salt into chlorine.

You are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property. The minimum requirement for this home is no less than seven nights. The maximum occupancy is six.

Spacious and really clean

Great place very close to beach. The house was large and spacious. The amenities were great and the location is perfect. The pool is very secluded but with little sun. The only detraction is that this property is right off the main road so there is some road noise. The rental agent is very responsive and we would stay here again!

Spring Break

Beautiful home with a very private and well thought out area for entertaining surrounded by shrubbery and trees including a pool with waterfall, patio, deck, outdoor television and grill. We ran out of propane on the last night and the management company had one in place in less than an hour! We brought a mini-basketball hoop that the kids played with in the pool for hours. Home was very spacious and clean with large rooms. Some reviews had issues with the noise - however we sat outside on the porch for hours watching the foot and vehicle traffic along Gulf Drive as well as those visiting the adjacent Manatee Beach park. Look to the left and you're part of the action, look to the right and you see the Gulf. We rented a golf cart and had no issues taking that all around the island. Fantastic family spring break and the home was certainly part of it!

Beautiful house with easy access to beach

Great vacation house for our family of four. Beautifully decorated and beds comfortable. The massive master bathroom is attached to the room with 2 double beds. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat. Two minute walk to the ocean. Beach is beautiful. As every other review mentions, you are on the edge of a street that is very busy during the day. We have an 8 year old and almost 2 year old and it did not add stress to our vacation. Fountain of pool very smart addition to block some street noise. Great view of the ocean from front deck. We had a fantastic first vacation to AMI.

Amazing location

You know when you look at the listing pictures and you think sure they get the best angles and such it probably doesn’t really look like that. This place does. We were really impressed. It’s a beautiful house. We had plenty of beach towels, the kitchen had all the tools we needed to cook or bake with. It has 2 ovens if you need that! The dumb waiter was wonderful. My kids loved the pool. It does have lights at night. The walk to the beach was the best. Seriously. Pass 2 houses and you are at the access point. I could watch my 8 yr old from the front balcony walk out to meet her dad who would enjoy is coffee on the beach in the morning. Check in/out was super simple. I loved that they had a code for the door so you didn’t have to keep up with a key. It is near the main road and near the public beach access for manatee beach. Having access to the garage was a plus. There is a lot of traffic that passes but honestly it didn’t bother us. The island has 10 pm quiet time. If you planned to be on the front balcony a lot bring some noise cancelling headphones. Near the pool we never even thought about it. As last reviews mentioned the location was truly the best. The property manager was there if we needed anything. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely home near beach

Pretty home with nicely equipped kitchen 1/2 block from beach and 1 block from beach restaurant. Great pool. Comfortable beds. Sunny with a nice view. Be sure to bring or buy shampoo and dishwasher/clothes washer pods if you are going to do laundry or dishes.

Fantastic

This property was everything we could have asked for. You have a view of the gulf from the front windows and deck and is only steps from the beach access. The pool is amazing and especially for our little one as he could hang out on the shallow end and play. Love having the TV and covered area to sit out at the pool as well and has a private feel with all the landscaping around. Dumb waiter is very helpful to haul luggage and groceries up to the main level. Plenty enough room for our family of four and had just about all the amenities you could ask for. Very close to grocery store and quick golf cart ride to many restaurants. In our view everything about this place outweighed any concern about road noise from neighboring street. All the pictures from the listing are exactly accurate as to what the home has to offer. Had a blast, can't wait to book again.

Everything you need is there. Short walk to beach, great pool. Traffic noise was the only downside, just bring your noise canceling headphones for the front porch!

Great location, landscaping made it feel like an oasis.

There were a few maintenance and cleanliness items and the pool was cold. This kept me from giving the unit a total of 5 stars. The landscaping was beautiful and compensated for the almost constant road noise. With the beauty and sounds of the waterfall you almost didn't hear the traffic. Smart thinking there. The closeness to the beach was wonderful. The picture window facing the ocean is a nice touch. Being able to use the garage was an added bonus. Highly recommend this area of the island and the beautiful beaches if your family enjoys quality time together. Love how the island kind of forces you to slow down and relax and just enjoy the natural beauty. This rental is nice and has the potential to be a 5 out of 5 stars.

Perfect house in the perfect location!

The house is so beautiful and just a few feet from the beach access. The house already has pool floats & beach chairs available for use. Both bedrooms are upstairs as well as the half bath. The master has the average bathroom and the bedroom with two queens has the bathroom with the bath tub and two separate sinks. There is an extra fridge downstairs, there a dummy waiter so you don't have to carry your luggage up the stairs. The balconies attached to the bedrooms are connected and are attached to the staircase that leads to the pool. There is also a gate on the side of the house that goes straight to the back of the house. There is an outside shower to rinse off at after the pool or beach. The house comes with an alarm system on the balcony doors, back door leading to the pool, and on the front door. That was great because the house is huge and I was nervous. The house is on the corner of a main street so if you're outside at night you may hear cars passing. by, however there is a noise ordinance beginning at 10 PM every night. Because of this the waterfall at the pool will auto shut off to avoid putting off any noise. The location was great for us. It was close to all attractions we went to and also close to other cities we wanted to visit. This house was perfect for two couples. If you're thinking about it, BOOK THIS HOUSE!

Beautiful house, steps to the beach

This house was gorgeous! The front patio was rather loud with all the traffic as stated in other reviews. The pool was ok. We had issues with the heater on the pool but management was attentive and came to address. Although it still didn’t get real warm for a early March stay. The backyard was nice except you really didn’t get any sunshine back there which may have contributed to the pool not being real warm. I’m sure this would be great on hot summer days in Florida. Thank befall very happy will recommend to others just knowing that about the outdoor space.

Beautiful home with a view

Overall, the home was great! We could have used more pots and pans in the kitchen and wished the TV on the back porch would’ve worked. I would’ve liked some extra blankets as it got very chilly at night since it was December. The view from the front patio and living room was amazing! I just wish we could have heard the ocean instead of all the traffic noise.

Pool was not heated for the first three days. After having someone come out and look at it. It was about a day or so for the pool to reach 83F. The thermostat was only set to 71F for the first 3 days of our stay. Only about to use pool the last 3 1/2.

Great value!

I have to admit, I was extremely bummed out about the 1-star review that showed up on this property a couple weeks prior to my checkin (complaining about cleanliness/ appliances not working/lack of communication with property manager). I messaged the property manager about it through Vrbo; but unfortunately never heard back. I thought the cost for the property was too good to be true - so ended up renting another house a couple miles down the road and used this house only a couple of nights [I'm a Ritz guy, oddly particular]. In the end I was pleasantly surprised. The home was not bad at all for the price they had it listed for especially considering the location (the other house I rented was 6X this one across the street from the beach). While it is near a busy street - it's also right on the beach. With COVID-19, if you've tried staying a couple miles from the beach in Anna Maria where you rely on parking, you know how important it is to be able to walk; especially with small children (police will ticket you if a single tire is 1 inch on the road). The property was fairly clean - but as stated - I only stayed there a couple of nights and didn't end up using any of the appliances so my experience with the detail is somewhat limited.l I do believe though it was a fantastic value and I will rent again. If nothing else, it's a perfect place to use during beach days, especially for the parking!
