Stayed in a 2 bedroom property, was impressed with how much room there was and very clean. The decor is a bit dated as others have mentioned but thats just asthetics. The site is undergoing renovation but we were not impacted with any noise or building works. The swimming pool was lovely, easy to book and free to hotel guests. The staff were all friendly and helpful, even the peacocks. The restaurant is closed but we were happy with self catering any way. I think all in all it depends on your expectations. For us it was a great base after days out and about sight seeing and the pool was the added bonus. Would definitely come back

Over all stay was lovely.however, i felt that important information could have been communicate better I.E the £100 payment for damages, and have ID on check in. charges for the usage of towels at the pool/gym. Not being able to open the balcony doors was disappointing but i accept some things happen along with the TV remote in the bedroom to working. I would stay again know i understand what is accept

Our review is mixed. Booking was easy and a courtesy call was received to say unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open but a bar was and a hot food van would be onsite We arrived and checkin went smoothly, with good instructions about everything but we were then informed that we couldn't use the balcony on our apartment and the french doors were locked. We entered the apartment to find the radiator value was broken. The heating was on full bore! Handyman came quicky to resolve but with only one window that opened a bit,a fan and some ice. The apartment was still unbearable. After some explaining that other propertieson site were available, intense negotiating and an insulting charge of £10 we were able to upgrade to a house. After a 12hr day we decided to pay it. The house we were moved to was well appointed, spacious and the bed comfortable . Some areas could have been cleaner (hoover may need emptying) We were also given access to the pool during members hr as unfortunately we had missed this whilst sorting out the issue. Leisure access finishes at 7pm. We were glad things were resolved and We would consider staying again

Peacocks, Peacocks and Peacocks.

. There was a ‘musty’ smell - probably not been used often over the winter or cleaning products used. Cobwebs on the beams! Swimming Pool was excellent - really warm. A lovely relaxing place for most people but not for me. The Peacocks, are everywhere, directly outside the door and windows and on the walls. I guess you either love them or hate them.

Lovely location but room far too hot

Great location and the grounds are lovely but room is a bit dated..We stayed in a one bed apartment. Balcony was being repaired so unable to open the patio doors which meant the heat in the living area was unbearable. Fans provided but due to their only being a tiny window it was just blowing hot air around. Could also do with blackout on the windows in the bedroom.

Great base for local travel

Very welcoming greeting at reception with clear instruction for check in/out and all the facilities. Balcony does couldn’t be opened as were under maintenance. Lovely views over the stream and into the woods. Sofa wasn’t particularly comfortable and the shower head needed a good clean. As a base for local travel it suited our needs.

Lovely apartment with woodland view

Apartment was lovely. It overlooked some woods and was very peaceful. Had everything we needed as a family of three. It was clean and we had a comfortable bed. Lots of hot water for showers/bath. Swimming pool was clean and very warm. Peacocks were a beautiful bonus. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely go again
