Loved everything about my stay. Only recommendation would to allow females at the Mai tai bar to use the restroom inside the restaurant 10 feet away instead of having them walk a long distance for that. It’s safer for them and should be a choice

A magical property with gorgeous 1920s architecture and tropical gardens. Very unlike most surrounding properties/hotels in Waikiki. Parking very convenient. Would definitely choose again and again. A complete and total WOW. We stayed in one of the historical rooms with high ceilings, not the modern tower, which I'm sure is nice too.

It is a grand old hotel. The rooms are nice but not spectacular. The service is very good. The location is it's biggest asset. It is the centre of Waikiki. You pay for that provilege

I would be hard pressed to stay anywhere on Waikiki, other than the Royal Hawaiian. This is a marvelous hotel. There are two walking paths to the Royal Hawaiian shopping center. One goes straight to the food court, which is awesome! The people at this hotel are beyond marvelous. I think I could write an essay on how wonderful this hotel is, in addition to the people who work here. The pools are marvelous! This hotel shares a pool with slides at the Sheraton. The Mai Tai bar and bakery are wonderful. The shopping is great, and there is quite a bit of shopping at the Sheraton next door.

A treasure!

Absolutely the best hotel experience in Waikiki! The spa staff was exceptional! Morning meditation, historical tours and shops staff are friendly and helpful. The valet had our taxi in less than five minutes and the housekeeping staff had our room looking fresh and tidy every day! The Mai Tai Bar has delicious snack and beverage choices and we enjoyed treats at the RH Bakery! Worth every penny!

Historic beauty with incomparable service and setting. The gardens are a perfect oasis in the midst of the best shopping in Hawaii. Valet parking and bell hop are impeccably coordinated and friendly. The tower has unbeatable views of sunrise over Diamond Head, and the historic wing is gorgeous with hand carved wooden doors, high ceilings and blissfully quiet. Our second stay and it won’t be our last.

Just a wonderful iconic experience. The grounds, the sunshine,the water, the view. Having multiple award winning restaurants within a city block. Taking the Trolley up past Diamond Head. You have to go!

Better than the photos

Stayed in historic room with "resort view" should really have been no view... Room better than dated photos on hotels.com Staff very helpful and excellent service overall. Lack of room service and late night dining options are cause of deduction
