🌟 Positive Highlights: Beautiful location, amazing, clean property with welcoming and helpful staff. The employees were super courteous.
⚠️ Room/Maintenance Issues: My room had several major issues. I was told it had a patio, but the doors didn't open, which the front desk confirmed only after I asked. The bathroom tub was disgustingly stained. The TV was broken and had to be entirely replaced. All room doors slam loudly, creating noise disruption. My room's safety deadbolt was non-functional, and there was no inside chain lock. When it rained, water seeped in from the patio into the room. Property owners should prioritize upgrades.
Food options are limited (one restaurant, cafe, lobby bar, pool pizza bar) with similar, overpriced menus. The attempt to fuse Puerto Rican cuisine was well-intentioned but resulted in bland, unimpressive, and "just okay" food. The chef should stick to traditional, undiluted dishes. The pool music was terrible—a loud, monotone techno beat I could hear from my room. Tropical, Caribbean, or Latino music would be far more appropriate.
While I generally felt safe as a solo traveler, I was startled upon checkout when the manager asked if I was expecting guests. Apparently, two men were roaming the property looking for my specific room number the previous night, and security made them leave. Since only staff knew I was alone and my room number, I felt like a target. It is critical to remind staff about maintaining guest privacy and safety protocols.
