We arrived at the property on Friday, and ate dinner at the pub that night. The food was not very good and the server was not attentive at all, even tho we sat beside the servers station.
What we did not know, was that there was a wedding at the location on Saturday night. When we got back from having dinner elsewhere, we did not find any parking. When I went to ask where I could park, the person at the desk told us that everyone at the wedding was a guest at the hotel. I found that very hard to believe and said so.
Our room was 2 floors above the room where the reception was held. The music started at about 9pm. Since this property is a wood structure, the sound insulation is non existent. It was almost like we were in the room where the reception was. The music continued and the base was incredibly loud. I called to the front desk for the first time, at around 11:30, asking if they could get the music turned down as there are noise laws. It did not happen. I called again to the desk just after midnight as were not able to sleep at all. I was told again that they would ask to turn down the music again... but again, it did not happen. I called again to the desk at 12:35am with the same question as we were still not able to sleep. I was then told that the music would stop at 1am. I stated that we had paid alot of money for the weekend stay, and we deserved some peace.
We voiced our complaints to the manager to complain in the morning.
We were NOT happy at all
