This inn was the best lodging during our 7 day trip to Cape Breton and Nova Scotia. After a long day of driving and hiking on the Cabot Trail, we were greeted warmly by the desk clerk who went out of her way to help us find a restaurant. The room, with a beautiful ocean view was clean, spacious, and well appointed. The next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet that far exceeded our expectations in a roomy dining room with beautiful ocean views. After breakfast we enjoyed coffee on the deck listening to the surf. Lovely start to our day. Highly recommend this gem of an inn!’

Property is beautiful. Great views. But really nothing around it. We had to drive 20 min to get a pizza for dinner. There was a breakfast onsite in the morning thankfully. Rooms are tiny and a lot considering the area and size. TV really old and small (not that we should be watching while on vacation but it was playoff season!!). The a staff were excellent and very friendly.

What a great place to stay! Excellent team and room. Easy to find and park with great views across the bay. Comfy beds and a good range of amenities. Breakfast too was good in the spacious dining room.

What a stunning view! We were blessed with an ocean-view corner suite on the second floor during our two-night stay. I could wake up to that view every day! Breakfast was solid and the staff were incredibly pleasant. It's a bit of a drive back to town (Ingonish) and the trail heads, but not enough to be a bother. We will be back!

Kim’s place was wonderfully homey, the view absolutely breathtaking and the breakfast spread a delightful surprise. The place is a bit dated but the service and homey bed and breakfast feel definitely made up for it. We really appreciated the hospitality and local recommendations!

Wonderful place to stay on the Cabot Trail. Jane and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was incredible! We had an Ocean view room which was very comfortable. We even were welcomed and had fun playing bluegrass music in their lounge area. We really hope to return and stay longer next time!

Comfortable, clean, good location but a bit dated. WiFi was out due to a construction related issue outside of the hotels control. Our late/non-staffed check in was fine but failed to notify us of the WiFi issue which created unnecessary angst. Included breakfast was fine.

Castle Rock Country Inn was a very nice place to stay. As it's a bit out of town, you need to drive to restaurants. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options. Staff are great and check-in was easy and quick. Would stay here again.
