Culloden House Hotel is an experience steeped in history and warmth. From the moment we arrived, the staff were beyond exceptional. Genuinely kind, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable about the property and its past. Their hospitality alone makes this hotel unforgettable. The history is what truly sets Culloden House apart. The rooms themselves are visually luxurious, staying here feels like stepping back into the 17th and 18th centuries. Knowing who once walked these halls, the conversations that must have taken place, and the pivotal moments tied to this house adds a sense of magic you simply can’t replicate in a modern hotel. High tea was absolutely lovely, a true highlight, and breakfast was delicious, thoughtfully prepared and enjoyed in a setting that feels timeless. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, perfect for wandering and taking in the atmosphere of the Highlands. Culloden House isn’t about flashy décor; it’s about soul, history, and impeccable service. This was an unexpected gem. If you are looking for a unique and memorable place to stay, this is it. As a guest, you have access to the walled garden from the 1783s. The house is historic with rooms that take you back to another time in history but updated for modern convenience. The staff was very attentive and made us feel special. We would highly recommend.
