The hotel is literally right next to the Hagia Sophia, opposite the Basilica Cistern and only five mins walk to the Blue Mosque, 5-8 mins to the Grand Bazaar. Absolutely endless choice of cafes, restaurants and gift shops. Tram Stop at Sultanahmet is five mins walk with frequent trams into the city. So, quite the historic and tourist centre. I had a deluxe room at the rear of the hotel which had a brilliant view of the Hagia Sophia and quiet; you get the call to prayer five times which lasts for about five minutes. The quality of the hotel is very good. Very helpful staff. Very enjoyable traditional Turkish Breakfast. Difficult to get to from the international airport by public transport (but I did it and quite an experience in itself) but a cheap and good alternative is to get the Havaist bus to Sultanahmet (TRY 315). So, a great place to stay for a trip, especially a first trip, to Istanbul!

Hotel with very friendly staff next to Hagia Sofia. The breakfast is superb. And it is close to the main attractions. The problems are: 1. Very noisy room next to a busy street, and 2. There is a big slope in front of the hotel without car access. You have to walk about 500 meters in order to take a cab.
