Tight squeeze

The location was excellent, only a 5 minute walk to Haghia Sophia Mosque. The room however was tight for 3 people. We were given a room on the 2nd floor which was like a loft type with a low ceiling on one end. My husband, son and me kept banging our heads on it, i got quite a nasty bang on the second day. Despite asking several times to change rooms the hotel would not as they said they had no spare rooms. The bathroom was also tight and awkward, no space to hang clothes whilst changing. There was no lift and after a long day out walking the last thing you wanted was to walk another 2 flight of stairs!

Pleasant with great location

The room was comfortable. Would have appreciated another layer of bedding, it was very thin. The bathroom needed some repair work (cheap building materials used which are worn out). But the location was fantastic and the price was competitive. The Continental breakfast had amazing atmosphere and we could all find something to eat and enjoy.

It was a very basic hotel attached to ‘The must’ restaurant, we had a small tv, a fridge, but didn’t really work as was warm, tap was wobbly in bathroom and I stood on a nail sticking up on the floor and there is no lift and after a hard day walking it was hard work climbing up two flights to our room but it was very very clean, the bed was so very comfy and staff were nice, breakfast staff were helpful and nice man on desk, area was spot on so all the minor things didnt bother us and I would happily stay here again

Excellent hospitality. Mr. Mostofa, the hotel manager was a nice man and very helpful as well. He helped us a lot to get our tour packages and transport. Free breakfast was with plenty of delicious items.

Very nice breakfast- they prepared box breakfasts on days we left on tours before the regular breakfasts started. They also arranged tours and taxi pickups. Desk staff were fantastic - especially Muzafer. Would certainly go there again. Great housekeeping staff.

Staff very helpful. Clean rooms, kind of dated but for the price, good enough. Walking distance to all points of interest in the old city. In front of tram tracks. In between tram station gulhane and sultanahmet. About 45 mins taxi/ shuttle to/from IST airport.

Pros: Very good location, between 2 tram stations and only few meters to the famous area of Sultanahmet with its all attractions including Ayasophia and Gulhana park. The hotel entrance is on the main street on Sultanahmet (flat ground - that matters if you're travelling with elders) Ibrahim at the reception, was very kind to change our room to the 1st floor instead of 2nd (even though the only available room was bigger than what I booked), only to assist my mother who has a knee issues, while there's no elevator in the building. Cons: - Walls are not soundproof, you can hear everything from other rooms, and there's no sign of "Quit hours", we had hard time listening to noisy songs from the next room at 2am. - No elevator. - No water boiler (electric kettle) in the room, if you want to make yourself a cup of coffee, then you have to go down the stairs to hotel dining room. - Only 2 power outlet in the room, one of them is not near the bed.

Perfect location

Best location you can imagine in the old city. Just a few minutes from Hagia Sofia and Basilica cistern. Tramway very close. Good breakfast. Don't expect a fancy hotel but price is reasonable for what you get. Good for a short stay.Friendly staff.
