The included buffet breakfast in the rooftop terrace was amazing! We especially loved the beet and yogurt salad (just try it!) and the carrot, cabbage and dill salad. Not normally something we'd eat for breakfast but the food and experience was spectacular!! The rooms had a beautiful Turkish feel and look. We enjoyed our cozy room and bed and the service throughout was fantastic 😀

We had a good stay at Saruhan, the breakfast and view from terrace were both amazing. The only drawback is that we were given a below ground floor room, and it was filled with ants once we were settled in and ate some snack/wine.. the ants would gather around our cups and wine bottle and clothes and that was very annoying. It would be nice if were given a room on the upper floors instead as there is a large swing in the bottom floor, just for us in our balcony/garden area but we never used it since there is no privacy there.

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Saruhan in Istanbul. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff went above and beyond—especially in arranging a fantastic cruise trip. The terrace breakfast was a highlight, with delicious options and stunning views of the city and sea. Perfect location near major attractions and truly outstanding service. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful hotel. Very family friendly. All the workers are very nice. Their breakfast is great. Farrahudin along with his coworkers at the front desk were all very kind and professional.

Very close to the blue mosque area in the heart of sultanahmet. Many affordable diners in the area. There is a nice park in front of the hotel. The staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful. Coffee is available until 11 pm. The staff lady in the kitchen is super sweet and helpful. Rooms are very clean. The hotel face may need a touch up.

Don’t let this little older hotel put you off, it is a gem. The rooms, though older, are spacious and spotless. The staff were amazing the whole stay. You can beat the breakfast, the woman that puts it out works very hard to ensure all leave full. A bonus is the coffee and tea they provide in the breakfast room anytime of day. Would definitely stay there again.

Saruhan is a very beautiful and quirky little hotel, with lovely traditional Turkish decor. The room however was very stuffy when I first entered and I had to open a window. There was no remote for the air conditioning unit and also none of the tv channels worked so that was redundant. The bed was quite creaky, slightly hard and for some reason the beautiful runner blanket disappeared after the room was serviced the first day. Plus the walls are definitely not soundproof as I heard a woman sneezing and coughing all night one of the nights! So comfort wise not amazing, but it didn't ruin the experience - it's clean and good value for money. The location is lovely as it is quiet but can be a bit daunting finding it at night if you are arriving late. The staff are extremely welcoming and extra kudos must go to the lady singly serving all the delicious traditional breakfast on the balcony, of which the variety was superb. The view from the breakfast terrace is wonderful as well.
