Great location for Mayo visits, simple and functional condo with a few drawbacksMy husband and I stayed at this 1-bedroom condo in downtown Jacksonville while receiving care at the Mayo Clinic. Overall, it was a cost-effective and simple place to stay, and while we appreciated several thoughtful features, there were some important details future guests should be aware of — especially around parking, amenities, and building maintenance.Pros:- The condo itself is clean, functional, and uncluttered. The refrigerator and microwave were spotless, and everything in the unit worked as expected.- Double blackout curtains in the east-facing bedroom window were a thoughtful touch that helped with rest.- The furniture was in good shape, and we had no issues with comfort or layout.- Cost-effective for the location and perfect for a couple or even a small family (I believe there’s a sleeper sofa, though we didn’t use it).- The property manager was very responsive and courteous, which we appreciated during our stay.- Our interactions with long-term tenants in the building were pleasant — they were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to figuring out parking.Notes for Future Guests:Parking:- This was the most frustrating part of the stay.- The VRBO listing didn’t include any info about parking, which turned into a daily hassle.- There’s metered street parking, but the three meters we used didn't properly — tenants recommended downloading the app. The meters are .02
