This was a ‘bucket list’ four-day visit. Amazing location, reception staff and bell boy service was really really great & the main hall was comfortable and welcoming. Pool, hot tub and spa all also great. Not many dining choices while we were there (April), food in the hall was nice but not amazing for the price - service could be a little slow at times too. We stayed in a lodge room - it had a new bathroom and was very clean. The room itself was giving motel vibes though and I was expecting more for the price.

JPL was the perfect combination of luxury but relaxed and unpretentious. The staff were amazing - friendly and helpful. My teenagers were safe to go off and do their own thing without me worrying, and then I could use the gym, hot tub and steam room, or sit in the lounge with a drink and my book and look out over the mountains. My one tiny complaint was that no plug was accessible near my bed, which made charging my phone awkward, especially if I wanted it near me overnight for the alarm. Nothing that would stop us from going back, though! We loved it!

Prior the the fires, the only draw to this property was the setting. The view has been destroyed by the forest fires leaving only the overpriced rooms with 1970’s decor, with no allure to stay again.
