Recently renovated, this is the ideal vacation spot for guests in the North Georgia mountains while being close to all that the resort of Big Canoe has to offer! This home sleeps 12 comfortably throughout the 4 bedrooms including a sleeper sofa on the terrace level. There is also a bunk room that has a twin-over-queen bunkbed + a twin-over-twin bunkbed and twin trundle. Each bedroom also has it's own private full bath. There are amazing views of Lake Petit from all 3 levels as well as from 2 balconies (one balcony is off the master bedroom and one balcony is off the terrace bedroom) and 2 levels of decks that are perfect for entertaining. There is an outdoor bar area on the bottom deck, a sauna, a pool table, and games for your enjoyment during your stay. Sleep to the sound of the creek flowing outside your window each night of your stay. As a guest, you will enjoy the close proximity to The Beach Club on Lake Disharoon, The Marina on Lake Petit, The Clubhouse, the 27-hole Golf Course, and The Wedding Chapel.

Our home is in a gated community called Big Canoe. The gate collects the information of all guests. On entry into the community, they check your ID and pass out rules and regulations for the community. They do not allow atv vehicles to be brought in.

Swim Passes have to be purchased at the Beach Club at Disharoon ($/person/day or $/person/week).

Please also remember that this cabin is in the woods by the water. This means there may be mud, pollen, insects, rodents, snakes, leaves, dust, fallen branches, storms that create a loss of electricity, deer, owls, hawks, wild turkey, etc. and maybe even a black bear.

Very unique and beautiful home tucked into the woods and with the year-round view of the lake. These spaces were great for our families and the house was well stopped with games and toys. The indoor sauna was wonderful and we enjoyed sitting outside on the deck watching a deer pass just below. The wall of windows in the living room brought in great natural light even when it was cloudy making you feel part of nature we would absolutely stay in this property again and recommended to others, however, the spiral staircase could be daunting for young kids and families.

Our group had a wonderful retreat at this home, it was spacious, peaceful, and a beautiful setting for us to gather. The location was lovely, though the driveway to the property is quite steep, so future guests should be prepared for mountain driving and parking.The outdoor decks, while a nice feature, didn’t feel quite ready for use during our stay, which was disappointing since we had hoped to enjoy them. We also noticed a few cleanliness details inside that could use more attention. With a bit more care in preparing both the indoor and outdoor spaces, this property has the potential to be truly outstanding.

Breathtaking!!

I’d like to start by saying thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a great trip! The house was gorgeous and comfortable. Definitely a home away from home. My family and I enjoyed our stay. Games and a variety of entertainment options were provided. Communication with the owners was excellent. We are looking forward to staying again this summer.

Nice Place, Nice Location, Would Recommend to Others!

Very nice house and location. The house was very clean and organized, to the point that all of the switches were labeled and maps were provided. The views were great. House layout suited our needs very well. Very safe and clean area, close to a Lowes grocery store and some hiking trails. Host was very responsive and helpful. Areas for improvement: 1. Making sure the house was stocked and ready for new guests (i.e., toilet paper downstairs). 2. Some of the furniture was a bit rickety. 3. Some of the cookware and utensils were beyond their service life. Overall, I would recommend this house to any of my friends and family looking for a nice getaway in northern Georgia.

Lakeside cozy cabin

Envisioned spending our Christmas reunion in front of a fire watching movies and playing games. The view from the family room was enjoyable and we saw some interesting birds and deer.The roads in Big Canoe are winding and curvy and STEEP, especially the house driveway…scary and difficult. Having a heads up would have been appreciated. The house was to be 4-bedroom with fireplace, but the ‘fireplace’ was a plug in electric device with a remote. The picture of the house shows stacked wood and when we arrived there were fireplace tools and an ash bucket, apparently for show! The fireplace remotes did not work and we were told to go buy batteries! Didn’t get batteries and never used either of these fake fireplaces. Several lamps did not work, so lack of lighting was an safety issue. Pots, pans and griddle were filthy and unusable, we have pictures. Dishwasher was marginal and smelled plastic burning, so had to turn it off. Some beds were not sturdy or comfortable and getting warmth evenly in the house was a struggle. We were sorely disappointed with this house.

Beautiful house and setting

We rented this house over Christmas and had a lovely time. Kitchen was equipped for cooking meals and the large windows that looked over the lake showed off the spectacular view. This house accommodated our family perfectly with areas to gather or get away on our own. Manager responded to questions immediately and was awesome.

Thanksgiving

My family stayed here for Thanksgiving holiday. We enjoyed our stay overall. A few minor things some of my family members noticed— some of the bedding was dirty and had to be washed, and the the patio door in the dining area did NOT LOCK. I understand it’s a secured community but it was still concerning, we propped a chair under the doorknob for peace of mind. Aside from that it was great stay and my family and I had a great time!
