Loved our stay! The location on the coast is wonderful and best of all there is space to walk around and explore a little. We found the staff friendly and helpful, the facilities were great and we really enjoyed dinner and breakfast on-site. Looking forward to going back.

Very nice lodge, lovely property and great views of the rugged Sonoma coast. Room/bed was comfortable. Coffee packs, tea, and a kettle are provided, and there is a mini-fridge. But no microwave in room, probably intentionally so that you have to rely on the on-site restaurant, which is vastly overpriced though the food is very good. There are no other dining options unless you drive up or down Hwy 1 for some miles. Also, adding on a resort fee to the already high room rates when there is only an exercise room—no spa or hot tub—is excessive. In general, the hotel is overpriced, with extra fees and ridiculous meal prices, so I'm not likely to stay there again despite its fantastic location.

So great location. Beautiful views. But really there is no other dining options within 30 minutes. Dining is lack luster and way over priced. Very limited menu. Free coffee and pastries in the morning. ( coffee great , pastries were prepackaged and not good). The vibe is great , the views priceless but the food menu really was poor.

We were initially checked into an "upgraded" room. It was very nice, but there was a high pitched whine in the room. When I went to the desk, the clerk knew about the noise, and said when guests complain about it they "usually move them to a new room." So obviously, this is an ongoing problem, so maybe not an "upgraded" room. The room should be put out of order until the problem is fixed, not continued to be used. We were then put in a room with a lofted bed. My husband was too tall to do the spiral stairs without hitting his head on the beam at the top, so he slept on the couch below. For the price we paid, I wasn't impressed. The restaurant food and service was very good, and the lobby with the roaring fireplace was nice. The location and the hiking trails were nice. I worked in hotels for 12 years and was not impressed with how they handled the room situation.

Room and common areas are dirty. Staff is out to lunch. It's almost like they're in a bizzaro world - where they offer to do things unsolicited and then never follow through. Four times this happened to us, from checking in, to getting coffee, to cleaning the room (which had hair everywhere and a dirty napkin in the bed). These folks are in outer space. My friend who lives in the area and comes frequently confirmed this is typically the case.

Great place to stay and only an hour from home. Wished we knew about this place sooner. Welcoming lobby which was a very cozy place to hang out after dinner with a drink. They have everything you need here.
