The staff was very helpfull especially the manager who was more than accomadating with our late arrival. The room was very clean and nicely laid out with everything supplied in a kitchenette. The close proximity to the water and town were very usefull.

We had a pleasant 2-night stay in Suite 1. Comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom. This place is walking distance to the grocery store and a great restaurant called The Black Rabbit. It is so convenient and tasty we went back the second evening. We were given a 10% discount on the food for staying here. Very close drive to town too!

The property is conveniently located in central Kaikoura, walking distance to New World and various takeaway shops. A few minutes drive to WestEnd St with all major restaurants on it. Even though on SH1, it is very quiet, very clean and pleasant. Our room on the 1st floor was vary spacious, had a table for 2 and a separate computer desk and a little balcony looking at the mountains. Plenty of parking space. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Nice and clean room. Check in was easy and free parking onsite. Only down side is the electric kettle was super dirty inside. Don’t dare to boil for my instant noodles. No room cleaning for my 2 days stays but they manage to change my towels

We had an enjoyable stay in room 21 which faces east so had breakfast on the balcony invthe morning sun. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom had a heated towel rail and underfloor heating. The king size bed was soft so ideal if thats your preference. Cooking is in a microwave , otherwise youre dining out or at the bbq provided in the outdoor area at the back of the property. A relaxed and helpful host added to the pleasant nature of the stay.

Our suite was perfect for a pāpā and his two sons. Had everything we needed to break up a long drive for a night. This motel isn't right in Kaikōura township so if you want to be downtown, there's a decent walk or a quick drive to navigate. This said, the staff were lovely and the parking ample, so it was perfect for us. The only downside was a neighbours aviary which was close to our unit and meant for an early wake up when the birds starting their day. 3minute walk to the supermarket was perfect for us, and a few minutes further down the road was a great Pizza joint with a good selection of beer on tap for while you're waiting for your food to cook. My 4yo and I were able to walk to the main township area in under 20min in the morning so no complaints at all re: location.
