We loved this resort! Its in a great location. Make sure you do the night snorkling with the Manta rays! It's located just beside the resort (walking distance).

Love this hotel, nice view by the ocean. Saw the beautiful sunset, water slide was a great surprise for my kiddos. Housekeeping was every other day tho, make sure to ask front desk to arrange for daily cleaning.

Problem started from the day we arrived. We were checked into room that did not have double bed occupancy which we requested. The room we checked in there was coockie crumbs (whoever was there before us ). Took picture and shared with hotel. Next day in between vacation and excursion I ended up coordinating and moving to different room. It felt like that I am at work and handling multiple issues at one time. New room had double bed but no ocean view instead right on top valley -and some construction. Recorded the noise and shared that as well with hotel. One of their hotel manger was very nice so leaving a two star. She gave us comp drink coupons along with 1 night refund and waived resort fee. Coupons added another problem, rather an insult. Every time my family or just kids took the coupon to hotels pool restaurant they assumed that they will not get tip and have kids wait for long time or not serve at all. We returned all the coupons back during check out to different manger Sally. She was very nice and listened to all what we have to say, looked at pictures and video recording, but seasoned manger. Verbally she agreed to all but did nothing. Expedia on the other hand did not do anything either which hotel blamed on Expedia of not sending the payment. Hotel was taking roughly $1k each day from my credit card, which they finallly refunded by calling my credit card company. Expedia in their response is addressing g me with some other guest name.. I have stopped replying

Rooms dated. But it was a good value. You get what you pay for. The pool was a blast. Plenty of lounge chairs and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant is horrible. Food is overpriced and tasteless. Don’t eat there! The service was horrible. For dinner, it took a full hour for us to get to our seat, and there was only a few people working there so everything was really slow. We ordered our food but they forgot my order and I was super starving. My daughter’s stew was just pieces of meat, and barely had any actual stew. The breakfast buffet was 8 items; rice, bacon, potatoes, eggs, pastries and some really old fruit. They charge $35/person for this.

They boast a recent major renovation yet the entire property is majorly lacking everything they promote. No spa, no manta ray viewing deck, pretty tough to use tennis facilities with no rackets or balls to rent… activities director stated before we booked that we could get a courtesy car to the golf club across the street or it was easy to grab an Uber, yet the valet team was incredibly rude in explaining that wasn’t an option. Uber is non existent at this property. Buffet was a big miss - either low or out of everything in the mornings, same with half the menu at the pool bar in the afternoon. One on site restaurant at night with a basic menu. The market is run all day by one person who is also making coffees, Hawaiian time is taken to another level, then she was rude and snippy…! Ocean front room had a dozen boats out every night blasting music and people cheering to see manta rays. All in all just felt deceived in what was sold vs what we got

The benefits were great. The facility has some of the best ocean facing rooms. We had an issue with the original room but after we reported noise, the staff (Sally) went above and beyond to resolve our issue. We were assigned to one of the best rooms at the resort. The V47 lounge benefits really met all our food needs. We had breakfast and evening snacks. Along with the $50 credit a day covered most food needs. Overall the best stay at Hawai’i!
