Funky hotel in a great location

For a visit to the monasteries of Meteora, this is in a great location, with nice views of the surrounding mountains. Our room was spare, with bad mattresses and a barely functional shower. The public spaces are much nicer. The lobby bar is comfy, and the breakfast buffet was nice. If you are driving, this seems like a better choice than a hotel in town, where parking is scarce.

We came to Meteora because of the monasteries, but absolutely loved the area itself. The scenery is spectacular, serene, and had a really tranquil vibe to it. The hotel was great, the staff really special. They helped us arrange a special father’s Day dinner, custom food order prepared in the hotel kitchen and served with style and grace. Special thanks for this experience to our server Georgia and the chef Niko! Highly recommend doing the hike up to the Holy Trinity monastery from Kalampaka. It’s off the beaten path and a strenuous hike up but we found it to be the one monastery with a true monasterial atmosphere.

Beautiful location and property views. Great breakfast. My bed was a pad vs a mattress. Thankfully I was so tired it wasn’t a huge deal but my back would have enjoyed a better nights sleep.

What a lovely little gem! The staff was so sweet and helpful. The rooms all have a beautiful view of the METEORA mountains. In the morning your serenaded by the most beautiful sounds of birds and wildlife that it’s actually breathtaking. Breakfast was meh and there is no shampoo, conditioner etc… so be prepared. But honestly they were so lovely that those things didn’t matter on our one evening stay. It’s a beautiful area and so worth the time. Bring a car it’s super remote!

This hotel has the best view of the monasteries. It had a beautiful pool and outdoor seating for dinner. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was not great and the rooms were a little musty.
