We had only scheduled one night, but upon arrival we wish we could have stayed longer. This is a cozy studio with a calm, beautiful atmosphere. The yard is filled with trees, flowers, and birds, and the neighborhood is isolated and quiet. Our host was lovely, and provided fresh fruit picked right off the tree in the yard. Such a treat! We would definitely love to stay here again.

Beautiful ocean view. Space was very clean. We spent our time exploring the island and were not interested in the large resorts. Host were welcoming! Thank you for the fruit plate! If you want a comfortable and quiet place to stay, this place will not disappoint. Use of a washer and dryer was also a plus.

Nice place and great jumping off point for the north Kohala cost and Waimea. Everything amenity-wise was as advertised and worked fine for us. While the owner lives upstairs, we found the space to be quite private. She was so kind to bring us a plate of fresh island fruit as a welcome gift. Hope the new house being built just down the slope doesn't interfere too much with the great sunset views.

Great views in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Studio had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a few thoughtful additions: snacks, coffee, binoculars on the deck, and a Hawaii guidebook. Nice hosts with good communication.

This place boasts stunning grounds! If you're a bird watcher, you'll love spending time on the porch, soaking in the sights and sounds. A vehicle is definitely handy for exploring the nearby malls and fascinating historical sites. Inside, we enjoyed the comfort of an air conditioning unit, microwave, and a little refrigerator, all surrounded by inviting sliding glass doors that let in plenty of natural light.One tip for light sleepers: consider bringing an eye mask, as the curtains don't fully block out the morning sun. The studio may be small, but we found it to be just right for our needs, and we were genuinely happy during our stay. Our host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home, even greeting us upon our late arrival and respecting our privacy.Just a quick note: avoid running the hair dryer and air conditioner at the same time—you might trip the fuse! Perfect Hawaiian Getaway

A truly beautiful piece of paradise! The lanai was absolutely incredible and the photos don’t do it justice. It’s even more breathtaking in person. The ocean views, sunsets, and stargazing were unforgettable. Sitting outside and seeing the Milky Way with the naked eye was a magical, unexpected gift.Although the studio is located beneath the hosts’ home, it felt completely private, and Mitsuko and Curt were respectful of our space. At the same time, they made our stay even more special. The fresh fruit tray from their garden was delicious, and their tips about local beaches, farmers markets, and must-see spots were incredibly helpful. We also had no issues with the studio being too hot with our end of July stay. The location is also fantastic, just minutes from some of the best beaches on the island. It was the perfect home base for all of our beach days.As mentioned in another review, if you’re looking for a luxury resort style stay, this would not be it. But if you’re seeking an authentic, relaxing experience with unbeatable views and warm hospitality, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Sunsets, Stars, and Serenity

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to end our 10-day trip to the Big Island. The property was beautiful and peaceful, with unbeatable views—sunsets that took our breath away and a night sky absolutely littered with stars. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak it all in. Communication was smooth and easy, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. We felt taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful escape with unforgettable views!

Studio with a nice view and super nice host

Very nice host, warm and welcoming. We stayed 3 nights. Overall a good value and a relaxing place to stay. Reliable internet, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Appreciated that they brought us a fruit plate of delicious mango/banana from their property.My only disappointment were the swarms of mosquitoes, and I had misunderstood that it was a free-standing studio cottage; it’s a downstairs studio below their main home. But overall we had a nice stay!
