It is a much older property than I anticipated for a VIP hotel. However, the biggest problem we had is that at no time during check-in or during our 4-day stay, where we informed that the water to our entire building was going to be shut off from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Friday and then again on the Monday. I was in mid-shower when it shut off at one point and the maintenance men brought me a bucket of water to use to rinse off. We sort of forgave the water being turned off on Friday during the day as we were out most of the day exploring the island, but I am super disappointed to report that on Sunday evening we called and asked for a late checkout on Monday and nobody mentioned that the water would be turned off again on Monday. Why would we want to add time to prepare for our flight home in a room where there's no way to take a shower or flush the toilet? I tried talking to the property about this issue and they simply informed me that I would have been informed during check-in and they would not offer me any sort of refund for the inconvenience.

Propety was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was supplied with everything you needed. Veiw of the ocean was great and very easy to access. Coconut market next door had great shops, restaurants and convenience shopping. Many restaurants to choose from in the area. A great place to choose for its convenience and comfort.

This place is old and in need of renovation. It was dark and had an overall dingy feel. The one window AC was in the bedroom which left the livingroom and kitchen hot. We had the AC on 24/7 on max. Staff were helpful and courteous.

This was a really nice place,had everything you needed stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishes basically it was a condo and the help were very nice. You could see the ocean from our room. Was just a short walk to the ocean. They had someone always around checking the facility to make sure everything was safe and secure which I really appreciated so that I did not have to worry about anything while on vacation.

This was a really nice place to stay. I do feel that the hotel needs some renovations it's a little out dated. Be aware that the AC is located in the living room and not in the bedroom so the bedroom was hotter than the living room. Also in the room we had it felt like the tub of the shower was not supported underneath, so it felt like you were gonna fall through the bathtub.

Had two suites during eleven day stay. First suite was awful. Holes in carpet, dirty grout in bathroom, phone off line, room safe didn't have key. First floor unit facing back with noise from freeway and felt unsafe. Fortunately, staff was kind enough to let us change suites after one night. The second suite was night and day better. Everything worked, unit was clean, on the second floor with balcony facing ocean. So 1 star if we had to remain in first suite and 4 star for second suite. Bottom line is YMMV depending upon which suite you get assigned. One complaint is nightly parking fee. But staff were 5 star.

No air conditioning in the living room and kitchen. Air conditioner in the bedroom was noisy. Broken toaster with wires coming out the top replaced with another broken toaster. Had to ask for another one. kitchen facet leaked at the base when turned on.

Great concept, somewhat poor delivery. The location and beach access were amazing, as well as the walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace. It was great to have two TVs and a full kitchen. However, several items were missing from the room. The main downside was that we encountered cockroaches in the bathroom on multiple occasions, which put a big damper on the overall vibe and feeling of cleanliness.

If you’re a person like me that just sees the “hotel stay” as a sleeping area then this is your place. Beautiful location. Shopping area is close. I feel like this area is the best area to stay in Kauai, right in the middle of the island. This isn’t a bougee 5 star resort which I don’t stay at. I stayed here for my honeymoon and it was amazing.

Affordable to stay

The staff were friendly, and the apartment was spacious. However, the bedroom had an unpleasant odor, suggesting the linens hadn’t been washed. Although the front desk promptly provided a fresh set upon request, it didn’t resolve the issue. The location was convenient but close to the highway, resulting in noticeable noise. On a positive note, the price was reasonable.
