This property was under construction with a hazardous materials removal what appeard at the time our stay access to the lobby was limited due to construction which lead to us trucking our bags further through the restaurant entrance to get to the desk it was not committed through Expedia and barely mentioned on the website until we arrived and noticed these things we would have chose a different accommodation if we knew in advance of this situation

When we first checked in, we were given a room in the seventh floor. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly and this the room was smelling bad. We asked someone to fix the problem and they sent a maintenance guy to fix it. But when he left, we flushed the toilet again and it won’t suck properly I requested for a new room and they gave us a very nice room in the sixth floor. Everything was different from the first experience. The room was very nice and clean. It smells fresh and the toilet is working properly. We stayed there for two nights . On the first night we asked for the room to be refreshed But when we came back, it wasn’t done at all. I have to call the front desk to give us at least a toilet paper because we are completely out When we came back from our dinner everything was changed and they supplied us with toilet paper as well. Thank you for attending to our request

I picked this hotel due to the proximity to stores and restaurants and my experience with Sandman Hotels has been lovely. The hotel itself is run down and the carpets in the hallway looked damp and dirty at the same time with a mildew smell. I got in my room and the shower and tub were dirty. The tiles had that black dirt in the grout and i had to wear flip flops while showering cuz i couldn’t bear to touch the tub. I boiled water using the kettle and at the spout i found what looked like dog/cat hair. The coffee bar area looked like it hasn’t been wiped and the “clean” cups are had the dirty cover papers on them. The sink drained so slowly it seemed like it was clogged The free shampoo looked like it’s been used. You can tell that someone’s opened it cuz there’s dry product all over the packaging. I’ve stayed at other sandman before and i have never seen them like this. The one in Edmonton almost has 5 star amenities. I didn’t bother calling as the rest of the hotel looked like it’ll be the same state in every room and i had a long journey. I haven’t been in a hotel where i was scared to touch anything. I had to get Lysol wipes to wife surfaces.
