From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The rooms were beautifully clean and housekeeping were in every day. Breakfast was really good a lot of variety, well cooked, always hot. Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings - far enough away from the busy Lake District hotspots to make it a peaceful stay, yet close enough to everywhere you might want to visit! Beautiful garden and pond, with friendly ducks. Clean throughout with spacious room and bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Great breakfasts with lots of choice. Only little niggle - it would be an added bonus to be able to have a cappuccino or latte choice at breakfast :)

Excellent country hotel, not too far from Windermere. Seems to be a dog and dogowners haven! I really liked the presence of the cute dogs. Surroundings very lovely. Please be aware that there are no restaurants in the vicinty and hotel has limited capacity in theirs. After a full day on the lake we came back to the hotel and no dinner😡

Stayed in a pod with hot tub, great use of space and logs provided for the burner. Outside area could benefit from some small touches like solar fairy lights, dry seating cushions and maybe robes. Fabulous sleep, so tranquil, great breakfast, good selection and tasty , hot food. Swimming pool was out of use, no partial refund was offered. Overall a very pleasant stay.
