Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Wife and I stayed for a concert. Checked in about 4 pm after driving 5+ hours. Woman and male bearded manager were there when I checked in.
Put us in room on top floor. We had to get dinner before concert so we dropped our bags and left.
Didn't realize until we got back from concert there was masking tape on main door frame inside and out. Same with bathroom door frame. Paint was still tacky.
The carpet was dirty with stains and vent in bathroom was not sitting properly.
In morning after coming back from breakfast a man was painting the outside door even though DO NOT DISTURB sign on handle. He said he didnt realize the room was occupied. I said the sign on the handle should have been a clue.
We showered and.room became hot and humid due to no ventilation even w fan on.
When checking out I asked mgr if hotel was fully booked. He.said no. I asked why then did they put us in room w wet paint. Said he "blocked" the room from.being occupied. Clearly not as he was right there when it was assigned.
MGR said because I booked through 3rd party Hotels.com there was nothing he could do, but realized guests behind me offered small amount of Choice Privileges points whuch was a insult. He bumped it up and saod he make s note to add. Still no points
On way home.bith wife and I developed headaches coughing amd sore throat...signs of paint VOC
Missed day of work.
