Cumberland Place is a spacious apartment situated in the heart of the bustling Lake District market town of Keswick. A two storey property set in an iconic Victorian slate building, which just oozes character. The private entrance at the rear of the property brings you into the boot room, ideal for storing bicycles and walking equipment on the ground floor. 13 steps take you up to the generous living room on the first floor, which boasts high ceilings and excellent views of the high street, along with a spacious, open plan kitchen/ diner. The second floor landing, with armchair, leads to two large bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, sizeable wardrobe, and chest of drawers, as well as an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a triple; it has a double and single bed, and with the bathroom next door it makes for the perfect family bedroom. The roof top terrace is a little haven, high above the bustling high street, accessed via first floor landing, it’s a perfect place to take in the morning sunshine and views over the nearby fells. There is a designated parking space, which, if used conscientiously, will fit two small cars.

All the amenities of this vibrant town are on your doorstep, just across the road is the main shopping area with a great selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and the iconic Moot Hall. A short 5 minute stroll will take you through Hope Park to the shores of Derwentwater, where The Keswick Launch Company operate regular trips around the lake each day, with numerous drop-off points if you wish to continue on foot. Keswick is renowned for its spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains, it’s abundance of shopping and dining experiences, as well as a variety of cultural hotspots and tourist attractions, including the Derwent Pencil Museum, the Theatre by the Lake, Keswick Convention Centre and Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and are all within walking distance. Great location and having a parking bay in Central keswick is priceless. Very big rooms and everything you need. The roof terrace was a bonus. My only gripe was that the frying pans were old and everything stuck. Will definitely return but I'll bring my own frying pan.
