We stayed in one of the outside entry newer suites. It was clean and roomy. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very modern. There was an abundance of charging wall outlets, which was very convenient. All staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay there again when visiting Kilkenny.

This bnb's walkability (eg 4-min walk to Kilkenny castle) and parking lot (in the back) made it an easy choice for our stay. While this property has updated common areas, not all of their bedrooms are renovated and we got stuck with an old room (Room 7) which we knew there was a chance of. Would recommend this place if you can guarantee a renovated room!

Couldn’t have stayed at a better hotel in Kilkenny. Was our first night in Ireland, really started us off on the right foot. The hotel definitely gave us a historic Irish vibe, walkable to local attractions, and the staff took good care of us. I would definitely return and stay longer.

Loved my room at the hotel, was modern, clean, comfortable and for me space was perfect (booked a single). Location was great for discovering the city. And if you don’t have a lot of luggage train station is about 15-20 min walk. Otherwise €10 taxi

First it was nearly impossible to get up the stairs with no lift. We stain the old part of the hotel. What a dump. Cold shower, no water pressure. Doesn’t look updated since last century. Pictures were deceiving.

Very clean room. Shower was nice but poorly designed as water would run out and onto carpet in bedroom area. Had top place towels on the area to keep my feet dry. We like how close it was to all the sights we had planned to see. Lots of great restaurants very close and the bar was nice. Bartender was great - very friendly. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Parking was easy

The Club House was our first stay during our trip, and it was a fantastic start! The building itself is so full of charm and history, and the location is a perfect home base to explore Kilkenny. The staff were lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed the various decor and historical bits throughout the hotel. We had dinner at the restaurant, and it was very good. The service was also exceptional. Overall it felt as though the Club House offered excepetional value for the price, and would highly recommend it to those who are not seeking modern luxury; if you’re looking for something that honours the history it’s a part of wilst also being wildly convenient, this is it.

Historic hotel with modern amenities

The included breakfast was a combination of buffet style and made to order items. It was quite good. The hotel location was excellent and made for easy walking to restaurants and points of interest. We had a rental car so the free parking in the back of the hotel was a huge bonus in a crowded city with limited on-street parking. The hotel was comfortable and has a great history.
