Get your paws in the sand!
Sandy Paws is a dog friendly open space in the Bermuda Bay community. Enjoy a quiet and peaceful atmosphere with quick and easy access to all of central OBX and the beach.

Starting on the top floor, our home has a private master bedroom with king size bed and memory foam mattress, seating area, and en-suite bathroom.

The third floor features a large open living room, full kitchen with bar and table seating, 6 person dining room table, half bath, large Smart tv, bluetooth Bose speaker, outdoor deck with table and chairs overlooking the clubhouse and pool area.

The second floor has a second master bedroom with king size bed and memory foam mattress and en-suite bathroom. A third bedroom with bunk beds and pull out trundle bed with its own en-suite bathroom.
Yes, all three bedrooms have their own private bathrooms!!
Also on this floor is the laundry area with a washer and dryer.

All new LVP flooring in all living spaces and hallways.

The ground floor features a spacious garage with air hockey table and poker table. The main parking area is a space in front of the home and a reserved spot in the parking lot. There is parking available in the garage as well. There is plenty of open area around the house for walking and playing with your pets.

One medium sized bicycle
Extra Large Dog Crate
Beach cart, beach toys, kites, and boogie boards.

One of best parts of the Cambridge Cove community is access to the bike paths and trails in the area. The Wright Brothers Memorial is a 2 minute bike ride away. The area also has quick access to the Butterfly Garden and Arboretum, Turtle Pond, and a Disc Golf Course.

Very enjoyable stay at Bermuda Bay townhouse. House was clean and well decorated. TVs with streaming. Fully equipped kitchen. My kids loved the air hockey. The pool is great for all ages with the water slides, shallow end, lazy river, and multiple seating areas in the pool. Quick easy drive to beach.

Terrific Beach House!

We stayed for the week with our 2 grown children, their spouses, and their babies. This home was walking distance to the community pool which was perfect for the babies, as it has an area for them to sit and splash in the water. The beach was only a few minutes car ride, which was very nice. Overall, we loved the townhouse. It was clean and a perfect space for our family. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing Vacation

Overall would 10/10 recommend. The family loved the pool and location, including the near by skate park. The dogs loved it and were super happy to join us on vacation vs staying at a kennel. Very spacious and well equipped condo. The oven needs to be cleaned because when you use it, it sets off the smoke detector, but other than that small issue, it was perfect. We would 100% book again. THANKS

Fantastic Rental

This was by far the best trip to OBX. I hate doing business with rental companies who have outdated pictures and filthy places. This was our first time trying VRBO in OBX and this was definitely the best way to go. The townhouse was laid out well. The little kids enjoyed the sturdy bunk bed, my husband & I slept down the hall in the other bedroom on the 2nd floor. The older kids shared the bedroom on the 4th floor. It was perfect because we got up at the crack of dawn and the older kids could sleep in. I was pleasantly surprised at the full size capacity washer/dryer. The kitchen was stocked well with dishes, pots, pans, utensils. I intentionally didn't do much cooking this trip, but if you do plan on cooking, bring a proper knife to chop with. The knives there are very dull. Also, there isn't a pantry available for use. The cabinets are very stocked with dishes, etc so we ended up putting most of the pantry items on the counters. The outdoor furniture was great and both patios were used daily. The pool complex is literally out the back door. Just cross the parking lot and you're there. This was extremely convenient that we didn't have to load everyone and everything into the car. We just grabbed our pool toys and off we went. I highly recommend this rental for anyone with small children. There is also one toilet seat that converted to a potty seat. Also, good size dog bowls for my Golden Retriever. Lots of places to walk the dog as well. We had a great time!

Great family place

We loved the place. Great and safe neighborhood. Close to many great restaurants. A lot of stairs to climb but as long as you are ready for that - no problems. Everything you need for a wonderful stay has been provided.

Great getaway!

We were celebrating a milestone birthday with a girls weekend. We had a great stay. The property was lovely and just as pictured. The host was awesome. The house was pet friendly and the little touches were great. Our stay was just what we needed. We would go back again in a second!

Perfect place for a family vacation

Me and my family stayed for a week long vacation. We had a great time during our stay, the splash park/ pool is a huge benefit to staying here. The location is very quite with many activities and places to eat. We would definitely stay here again!

Tremendous townhouse in a great location!

Tremendous townhouse in a great location; perfectly set up for kiddos. The property itself is a 4-level TH. Bedrooms were configurable for our little ones, 2 and 4. Our 5 nights off-season (highly recommended) were made even easier by the on-premises pool/splash pad for kiddos of all ages, for when the beach wasn't an option. Pretty much next door to the Wright memorial, and a short kid-friendly walk to a wooden pier. TH is aimed at guests with dogs (hence, Sandy Paws). We started looking for a spot in OBX some time ago. My dog passed away between booking and our trip, but she'd have loved it, as I'm sure any pup would. This is THE place to book for pups, and still quite nice without pets. Included beach cart came in handy several times :) Thank you Matt and family!

Great Location and Property

We've been going to the OBX for over 30 years and our parents have lived down there since 1991. We've stayed at many places and have to say that Sandy Paws is at the top. We have two dogs and the owner thought of everything for them - even treats! The place was VERY clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen had all that is needed and the location was perfect. There are multiple public beach accesses with plenty of parking. They provide a beach cart and even some beach chairs - it was perfect! The owner is extremely responsive and so easy to work with. We will definitely be staying at Sandy Paws again!!

Great location!

Overall a great stay, house is nicely decorated and had the little things needed for a week stay like extra pillows, blankets, hair dryer, nice coffee pot, wagon for beach, beach chairs, games for rainy days! The water park was a Big hit w my grandchildren, were there every day the sun was out! The pool area had tables, umbrellas, lounge chairs, and limited drinks/ice cream choices which were great! Only downside was the multiple levels inside the home, I forgot what townhome living was like!! Overall still a great place to stay!
