DO NOT STAY HERE! I had a terrible experience with a rude elderly lady at the front desk on the morning of July 22, 2025. We lost our breakfast ticket, and she rudely reminded me that she had given me one the day before. If you want to work with the public, you need to learn about customer service! The rooms are outdated, and the hotel has a foul odor. The restrooms are old and dirty, and the bed linens are in poor condition, with holes in them.

Nice water view but garbage in the water which can be cleaned with a pool rod,also chairs outside needed cleaning ,the garbage can was overflowing from the time we got there to the time we left.The menu prices were very high compared to other restaurants.I will not be returning.

Badly in need of renovation. Very tired looking. No fridge in room. No tea in room (coffee only). No healthy items on the breakfast menu. Why no fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt etc. for those not wanting a heavy cooked breakfast. The only plus is the location. Will not stay there again.

The room was nice, but the bed was terribly hard. It left me with a sore back in the morning. The room itself was clean, however the towels had stains on them, and the shower doors were filthy. Though the rooms had air conditioning, the hallways did not. The breakfast was good, and included in the room price. The food was not buffet style, but we were given a good number of entrees to choose from. Service was quick, but the dining area was not air conditioned, and was unpleasant as it was a very warm day. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Given the age of the property, this was an overall positive experience. Check in at front desk was nice and very accommodating, and service by staff was great. Housekeeping service was a bit lacking though and not thorough. Great view and breakfast on terrace. Location is best for surrounding area and attractions

When we arrived my husband checked in and the attendant noticed his handicap. The attendant suggested a "ground" floor. When I came in, I questioned it. Btw, we we were on the 3rd floor with a view. He slipped and mentioned that we booked through Expedia. AND!? I gave it my rating b/c the cook to order breakfast and the breakfast staff are amazing! So is the view!

The Gananoque Inn, a modern step in history

Excellent facility for its age. The Gananoque Inn has been in operation for a very very long time and yet we did not feel its age. The rooms had been renovated and were modern. Breakfast at the hotel was geat! Thanks Riddhi for the excellent service you have provided us.

My best friend and I were here to celebrate 25 years of friendship. This was very relaxing and accommodating! We are highly pleased with their updates and breakfast options. The location is ideal, especially if you book an "exclusive" riverview outside room. The extra privacy and view is worth it! The employees work very hard and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Most relaxing vacay away ever! This is within walkinh distance to the boat rides and all restaurants in the area, even downtown.

Great stay at the Inn. Not sure about some of the negative reviews, this inn is over 100 years old of course it won't be something brand new. The staff is welcoming and nice, all our needs were met. We needed a little fridge for our toddlers needs and they brought one to room shortly after check in. Very appreciated. Breakfast for 3 days was great. The view was nice overlooking the islands and the City Cruise boat. The wall with the historical years and articles about the inn are nice to look at and glance through. The room was clean and cool. The lobby is nice and free parking right across the inn. Walking distance to King and Main St, and to Joel Stone park for our toddler. I'd recommend this to other visitors!

This is a lovely inn! The lady at the front desk was lovely! It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated, and it speaks volumes about both her and the inn’s commitment to excellence. Employees like this are the heart of any great hotel/inn and her 27 year service is a big reason I would return and recommend Gananoque Inn to others. Our room along river with Adirondack chairs outside each room were quite enjoyable, beautifully updated and comfortable, only possible improvement would be a mini fridge and a little larger tv.Fishing almost out your door! Breakfast to order included with 6 or so options, perfect! THE VIEW is AMAZING! Love!
