This bach has a large outdoor eating area.
It is quiet and safe, and away from road frontage,
There is a local store, cafe, boat ramps and tramping
The walking/mountain biking tracks to the neighbouring bays very popular.
Kinloch is 20 minutes drive from Taupo, which has great cafes, shopping, and numerous tourist attractions.
There is a lovely safe beach that is in easy walking distance.
Special conditions:
The bach is at the back of our property but has its own entrance fenced off area and parking. There is a private fence between the two properties.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels); however bedroom and bathroom linen is available on request for an additional charge.
During your stay at this holiday home, you'll be within walking distance of The Kinloch Club. A kitchenette and a TV are available in the holiday home.

It was a perfect size for us as a couple. Very tidy and generally well equipped. We were happy to take our own linen and towels etc. The only thing we felt was missing was a hair dryer.

Host communication was good. Checking process seamless.Did not realise it was a studio room/bach until arrival but suited our needs.Was clean and functional.Dated but functional and price reflected this. Would suggest that more appropriate for able bodied folk due to the access to the property.The community and area were amazingly nice and the locals super helpful. Would definitely recommend for a getaway spit. Would also stay again. Amazing comnunity

Great Batch and place to stay. Really nice town

We had a lovely stay. Thank you. The only feedback would be that it became hot for two days since it was sunny and the temperature went up to 26 degrees. Maybe another pedestal fan would be a good idea during the summer.

Comfortable and clean

We all enjoyed our stay here in the peaceful gem of Kinloch. Close to lake and a short drive to Taupō. The place was very comfortable and clean. And it certainly had all that you would need in a kitchen. Outside area was a pleasant surprise. Communication with Jane, the host, was friendly and always quick to reply. Liked that even though she wasnt there she still took the time to message to see if everything was okay.

Wonderful peace and quiet

We really enjoyed this bach which gave us everything we needed. The only thing that slightly confused us was Bookabach saying “this information hasn’t been added yet” re Wi-Fi when “there is no Wi-Fi” would have been clearer; we resolved that issue by visiting a cafe in Taupo which was absolutely fine! Loved swimming in the lake and enjoyed coffee from the Volcanic kiosk by the marina … thanks Jane!

Stressful start

The check in process had us thinking we were sleeping in our car for the night. What was meant to be a relaxing weekend away was anything but. Not being able to contact owner after numerous phone calls and an hour on the phone to book a batch call centre put a dampener on our stay. The offer of a later check out to make up didn’t really make up for the stress. The accommodation itself was fine although the temperature inside on a hot day after room being locked up all day meant sleeping with the windows open required lots of bug spray. Aircon unit would have helped. On the positive side it was spotlessly clean and a very quiet spot to stay.
