Perfect host !

We were very warmly welcomed by Glynn ( mine hosts ) Kindly offered help with our luggage and generally made to feel very much “at home” Our room overlooked a very beautiful garden with a large pond. Home to many contented ducks. A comfortable room and a spacious bathroom. We had a very very tasty dinner indeed. Roast chicken, vegetables from their garden, Dessert, Apple Crumble or Fresh Fruit Salad. Cooked effortlessly by Glynn as we chatted to both him and a fellow guest. An memorable evening. Breakfast was just perfect. All straight from the pan to the table. Piping hot!

Home from home

During our time in NZ we stayed at quite a few hotels & lodges and picked Tuscany Downs mainly for the location...but what a surprise. Its like being at home, Glen and Nicky absolutely make this one of the best places to stay, very welcoming, friendly, comfortable and Glen's breakfasts are amazing. Feel like we've made great friends and next time in New Zealand this will will be on our itinerary

A must if you stay around Christchurch

I warmly recommend this hotel. It’s like very family friendly with the best service and help you can get. Beautiful building with very cozy rooms and a beautiful garden with a pond and plenty of birds including a peacock. But foremost, Glen who is very friendly and respectful and helpful. A great person who in addition knows how to cook. Great breakfasts and 5 star dinners. You definitely should try this out. During my 3 weeks stay in New Zealand this place will always stay in my heart.
