Our favorite place to stay. The room had some fun stuff for kids as well (boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel stuff, i realize these rooms are all different but would be great if they just took a pic of the "extras" closet so we knew we didnt need to pack our snorkel stuff.

We woke up to the first morning to find cockroaches in the room. We have stayed here many times in the past and never had this problem before. The room was somewhat run down. The staff apologized and sent over pest control. We unfortunately ran into the cockroaches 2 more times before we left. No offer of another room. When I pressed them for some type of compensation, they made an offer, which I refused. I pointed out that they charged a cleaning fee when we checked in, but obviously the room was not clean when we got it or their would not have been cockroaches in the room. This didn't make for a pleasant stay.

Room was clean and well stocked with kitchen stuff, beach chairs boogie boards. Very convenient and close to restaurants and shopping. Grocery store just a couple miles away. Athletic club across the street had a beautiful pool, bar/restaurant, pickle ball and tennis courts and workout room. We will be back!

Beautiful resort and friendly staff. Unit was just a little dated, but fine for what we needed. Partial ocean view is just that, but it IS an ocean view. We loved it.

The best location on the coast. Friendly staff. A botanical garden right on the property! Plenty of working grills make it easy to cook lunch or dinner. Just 200 meters from the hotel is a beach with a large population of turtles; it's so cute to watch them. We highly recommend it!

room was not very clean. Rust on bathroom floor which will clean up. Floors and carpets dirty .Bubble on ceiling where water had leaked from upstairs unit. NO AC , they had to bring us a few stand up fans. Three outdoor umbrellas in-unit all were broken

To start, I’d recommend absolutely going for Ocean View. Quiet, peaceful. The beach is beautiful, the lawns and greenery are very well kept, the property is very, very nice. The condo was perfectly fine, a comfortable bed, fans kept me cool, kitchen nicely organized. Several BBQs available for grilling. Lack of a pool is a minus. But the trick that left a sour taste in my mouth, despite being in the beauty of Kaua’i, was this property’s unacceptable charge of a bogus “cleaning” fee: It’s a very large sum for basically nothing. This is sneaky, greedy and totally unnecessary. They hit you with it at check in, with no warning.Non-negotiable. It’s wrong, and not keeping with the Aloha spirit of Southshore Po’ipū. Buyer beware!

The property is old and this weared off a bit, but well maintained, the location and residence area is amazing. Poipu beach with turtles and seals laying on the beach are just steps away. Easy drive from any point of the island.

Excellent location, but limited in unit conveniences. Not all units have AC or in unit washer/dryer. Staff is friendly but not really involved beyond check in/out. It's a family place so lots of active folks on the lovely grounds until bedtime. Well maintained exteriors/grounds so be prepared for hard working staff during your stay.
