We had booked 3 nights in a deluxe room but left this hotel and paid £15 more per night to stay at Royal Hotel Signature. There was a smell in the room which felt lile mould and dirty socks. I asked to change rooms and was advised that house keeping had checked the room and noted that there isnt an issue with regards to smell. I also mentioned to them that the safe was not working (which they didnt fix when they said they would). We also had an ironing board in the room but no iron, the bathroom was small and the walls had marks all over them. The lobby, pool and restaurant were all fantastic and the service given by Zamal was above and beyond. It is a shame that the other staff members at reception were not as helpful and that the room did not live up to expectations. I would not recommend staying here. The manager on duty that night declined to change my room but when I complained to expedia they offered to change my room at 2am. By this point I was no longer interested and wanted to leave. Ive stayed in hotels all over asia as I am travelling for months and this has been one of the worst hotels I've stayed in because of the reception desk's service and the low standard of the room. Pay a tiny bit more and stay in a 5 star hotel in the centre of town.

the hotel offers a large and varied breakfast and has a lovely rooftop swimming pool. the bed was very comfortable and the shower was very good too. it’s pretty well located too.

Staff very helpful and accommodating, many amenities offered, nice pool and work-out facility, very clean and room service offered daily (compared to other hotels in Malaysia that offer it every 2nd day!) Location in a safe area and some stores & restaurants are walking distance, but to reach the main tourists attractions, one must take a taxi (or bus that is an 8 minute walk!) Additionally, daily breakfast (wide variety) is included for all guests.
