The apartment itself was very nice—clean, comfortable, and well-kept. However, the check-in process was unusually complicated and frustrating for a property booked through Expedia. To receive the access code, we had to complete multiple steps: submitting personal information for each guest, uploading a photo ID, and even agreeing to allow a credit check. On top of that, none of these requirements were clearly stated upfront. We also had to download the Landing app to access check-in details and gate codes, which wasn’t mentioned in the listing.
Because of all these unexpected steps, we were supposed to check in at 5 p.m. but didn’t actually gain access to the apartment for several hours. If Expedia continues to allow this property to list, they should ensure that these extra requirements are made very clear to guests in advance.
