Stayed at ALA HOTEL KYOTO with my family of 11 and everyone loved it. There’s a big open-space paid carpark right next to the hotel with plenty of lots, so no stress finding parking. The lobby is bright, clean, and spacious — perfect for families waiting during check-in. Staff were fluent in English, very friendly, and especially sweet to my toddler. She looked forward to seeing them every day thanks to their warm interaction. Convenience stores are just a stone’s throw away, and major brands like Bic Camera, GU, Nishimatsuya, and Uniqlo are all within walking distance. It's also close to the JR Line, making the location very central and convenient. You can access everything easily via a nearby alley. Rooms are compact but fit 2 large suitcases, 1 small suitcase, and an open stroller. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. The toilet amenities were superb. Check-out was smooth, and I’d definitely stay here again. For smokers, there are indoor smoking areas on some floors — no need to head outside in winter.

This hotel is clean, had good comfy bed, good shower and good staff. The best thing is that it is only 5 mins walk from Kyoto Station which was very convenient; since the Station itself had many restaurants, stores, and even a dept. store (Isetan). I feel it is the perfect location to get around Kyoto.

Nice hotel minutes from the Kyoto station. The hotel is modern with good sized rooms and we loved the low height beds. Breakfast was wonderful and there are a lot of dining options in the nearby area. We liked that all amenities (tea, coffee refills, toiletries etc) are kept for self replenishment in the lobby area. Housekeeping was punctual and well done. Highly recommend this place.
