Authentic Kyoto Stay: Machiya in Nishijin District

We have transformed a historic Kyoto machiya, approximately 120 years old, located in the Nishijin district, into an accommodation through delicate renovation by an architect. Throughout the renovation, efforts were made to utilize vertical space, allowing guests to appreciate the entire environment. The facility features a blend of contemporary design and traditional Japanese furnishings, creating charming spaces that captivate visiting guests. There are also spaces designed for families with children to comfortably enjoy, providing a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity for a pleasant stay. The three bedrooms accommodate five beds (including two double beds). From the living room, you can enjoy a Kyoto-style small garden, adding a unique touch of tradition to gatherings. Across from the accommodation, you'll find "Chojayu," which served as the setting for the movie "Maiko Haaaan!!!," offering an opportunity to experience the traditions of the Nishijin area.
