After seeing Kyoto and taking day trips, this place was nice to come to at the end of the day. It’s not too far from the south side of Kyoto Station. What I loved also was that the laundry was free but get there at the right time. And there are massage chairs!

Cozy & Inviting Stay in Kyoto We only stayed one night at Sakura Terrace The Gallery, but it left a great impression! The atrium-style seating area, coffee, and tea bar created a relaxing atmosphere, and the bar area by the fire was the perfect spot to unwind on a chilly evening. The live music at the restaurant added to the ambiance, and while we didn’t dine there, the menu looked fantastic. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with thoughtful toiletries and excellent service from the staff. Overall, a comfortable and inviting stay with great amenities. Would love to return and experience more!

The hotel is very close to Kyoto station and one of the main shopping areas. Rooms are a good size and well equipped. The main drawback is that reception and the lobby area are in the open air and were very cold. Also all the tables for breakfast filled up quickly and guests then had to queue in the open air until a table freed up. This hotel would work well in the summer months

My partner and I had a fantastic stay. We had a room on the top floor with a beautiful balcony/patio area. Location is a 2 minute walk to Kyoto Station. Complimentary welcome drinks and very efficient and helpful staff. Gorgeous hotel. We didn't use the public bath since we both have tattoos, but that would be another plus to book here for non tattooed travelers! They might allow small tattoos with coverings but we didn't ask or have time to use the bath either. Would definitely book here again!

Location and amenities!

Loved so many things about he Sakura terrace gallery hotel! Location was perfect, easy walk to Kyoto Station. Loved the public bath and the electric massage chairs and free cafe. Also enjoyed the evening welcome Drink, free drink every night. Breakfast was nice and I even had a light dinner one evening at the restaurant. Reasonably priced meal. The only negative is the beds and bedding were not comfortable. Pillow was flat - bed was hard . Get thankfully I could go to the public bath and massage chair in the morning.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at

I cannot believe the price of this hotel for what they offer. Best hotel I’ve been to in Japan. New, clean, free drink every night, outdoor fireplaces, next to Kyoto station, an onsen, massage chairs! Free tea all day, free laundry, Japanese style pajamas…I felt rich here! Never thought I would miss a hotel!

Have stayed here multiple times and find this location very convenient to Kyoto Station. Included amenities such as the onsen and free laundry facilities make it feel very comfortable when traveling. Lounge includes free coffee/tea and massage chairs in the south wing making wait for laundry to finish pass by quickly.

Wonderful

Amazing. Room on 6th floor huge balcony, loungers and table chairs. Lotions and toiletres daily, even bath salts! So nice. Breakfast was high quality and a little different every day. Welcome drink a plus nightly and the live music in the resturant. So close to Kyoto station. Easy to walk to several temples and shines. Would definitely stay here again!!
