Fantastic hotel located near a subway line and one subway stop from Kyoto station. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Upon check in you are served with a welcome beverage. The room comfortably accommodated three of us and our luggage. Wonderful property and I would happily stay there again.

Best hotel I’ve been during my two weeks. It was the first one I stayed and it was the best. The room was very spacious, comfortable and very clean. Also the train station was just mins walk…very convenient. Highly recommend it!

Had the first and only bad hotel check in experience at this place after many trips to Japan. I don't know exactly what was happening when we checked in but the reception staff member, Yutaka, was not very pleasant to deal with. No welcome, no explanations, no benefits explained, didn't give our VIP additions, was very short and did not want to clarify any of our questions. Super negative vibe and set the beginning of our Kyoto trip off in a bad direction after a long travel to get to the city. Additionally, we requested our room to be cleaned but was left a note stating that the staff didn't know what we wanted to left our room as is. The property is relatively nice and has lots of amenities for a mid-tier Japanese hotel. The gym is decent, the onsen is a nice addition and has lots of washing machines. Lots of pro's but the cons of the reception staff and service doesn't make this place a value. Will not be coming back.

I've read all the reviews, and I'm baffled by any negative responses. This hotel exceeded our expectations. We're a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) and we booked the family quad (7th floor room) which was simply amazing. 2 bathrooms, sitting area and plenty of room- this was a big room even by American standards. Plenty of amenities: waters daily, sleep tablets, toothbrushes, brushes, pajamas to wear, coffee/soda in the basement, pour over drip coffee and kettle in the room. I just can't think of anything to complain about. I see what people have said about it being a bit far from things, as it was maybe a 15 minute walk to Nishiki Market or Gion district, but that was never a problem for us. The train stop was 200 meters away from the hotel entrance. The convenience stores were right below us. The staff brought us cappuccinos as we checked in. And the sweet hotel gym had a full set of free weights, 2 bikes, a few treadmills and other equipment. It was nicer than many American gyms. Again- nothing to complain about here! Beautiful hotel.

We enjoyed beautiful, spacious rooms to unwind and rest after long days of sightseeing around Kyoto. The staff were warm, welcoming, and super helpful and the location was unmatched. The hotel is just a short walk to all the must-see shrines and temples in Higashiyama and Gion, restaurants and bars in Pontocho Alley, and Gojo Station. It was also very convenient having an on-site laundry facility. We’d definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful 12 night stay here. The bed was very comfortable and we were provided clean pyjamas every day. Lovely shower and separate toilet. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as we were out exploring every day but had drinks at the bar where service is friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very well located, just a short walk from both the subway and bus stations, making it easy to get around the city. The amenities are modern and convenient, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. The only disappointment was that we arrived a bit late and missed the restaurant’s cut-off time by just two minutes. Even after explaining that we were tired and would order quickly, we were refused service, which felt a bit rigid given how close we were to the deadline.

Such a convenient place to stay! It’s only a few minutes from the subway and all the main spots in Kyoto, plus there’s a 7/11 right across the street. The hotel feels really nice, and the rooms are bigger than a lot of others I looked at. Bonus points for the onsen and guest lounge. Totally recommend—it’s a great deal, and being close to the train/subway makes all the difference! Luggage delivery is highly recommended
