This historic, fully renovated beach cottage is at the doorstep of La Jolla Village with all the restaurant, retail and entertainment amenities that it offers. The cottage is just a couple of blocks from Windansea and Marine street beaches. The 7,000 square foot lot has a huge private yard with a putting green, covered large dining table for 10, outdoor lounging sofa, ping pong, pool table, putt putt course, covered front porch and more! This historic beach cottage has been completely renovated. The cottage offers two bedrooms and two baths. It also offers a private studio with kitchenette/bath/etc. that is perfect for a remote working office, nanny's quarters or third bedroom. Truly a wonderful estate to enjoy in sunny La Jolla! It is an amazing getaway that provides a safe and secure area with space to play. It is only a couple of blocks from the Windansea beach area of La Jolla and a block from the La Jolla Village district.

We really enjoyed our 8-day stay at this property! The interior design is high quality you could easily see that a lot of thought was put into it. The place is also perfect for families with kids. A kids bedroom with two single beds, a bathtub, pack n' play, dining chair for infants, etc. The front yard is incredible and it was so much fun to have that huge outdoor space for the kids to play, have lunch/dinner, or just relax with a drink in the perfect night weather.Moreover, we had everything we needed to go to the beach including chairs, umbrellas, kids surf boards, and toys. I'm probably missing a few more things but this is a really unique and highly recommended place. The host was very communicative and extra nice (e.g. bought the pack n play just for us, cleaned up the garage so we have additional parking option, gave us a heads up on a tsunami watch, and shipped my airpods that I left behind). Lastly, the place is in a prime location- quiet area and walking distance from CVS, supermarket, The Taco Stand (AMAZING), coffee shop, and even the beach.

Wonderful house and location

Great 5-day stay at this home. Both modern and classic feel. Everything was extremely clean and the outdoor space had a ton of fun activities (putting, pool table, ping pong, etc.). There were three of us and we couldn’t imagine more than four staying there so keep that in mind.Perfect location with village of La Jolla steps in one direction and a beach 10 minute walk in the other. Highly recommended.

Historic Estate in La Jolla

Our family had a wonderful stay in La Jolla. The house is beautiful and clean. Most of the the furnishings and appliances are top of the line and like new. The house was well stocked with all of the essentials. The front yard was a great place to grill, eat and play corn hole or miniature golf. The location was perfect, convenient walk to the beaches, coffee shops, restaurants, stores and even a comedy club. We hope to be back soon!

What a fantastic stay!

We LOVED THIS PLACE! I stayed here with my parents, husband and 17 yr old son for 8 days. My son had the “casita” which has its own entrance and is like a mini apt. He was very happy in there. The home is so well organized, lots of storage for a small home. The outside is amazing and has tons of lounging space and a putting green! The location is perfect, we were able to walk to the restaurants and the beach (about a mile walk) I walked to the beach daily to watch the surfers. Carol is a wonderful host and was great when there was a shower door leak, she and her son came over immediately and fixed it. Our toaster and one of the hairdryers stopped working, the same day we had a new toaster delivered and delicious cookies as an extra. We will def stay here again when visiting La Jolla. It was a great experience and very comfortable, convenient and clean. I would recommend to anyone!
