The restaurant is fantastic and the staff there are wonderful! My husband goes to San Diego for work a lot, and while his job chooses where he stays, I told him he has to go the restaurant at Hotel La Jolla for the view, food, and service.

Feel like i was given the worst room despite being Hilton gold snd Expedia platinum . Was right beside lift, ice machine, and housekeeping. The doors dont offer much in terms of sound proofing so was woken constantly. Music played from the from entrance that front desk said "oh we turn that down if people ask". Why have music playing so loud you can hear it in the rooms in the first place?

I called in around 3pm stating that I will be checking in late with my friends later at night and they said that would be fine. And they called me around 10pm and saying that they have assigned my reservation to another location without my consent. So i told them they couldn't do that because the reason I am staying at the hotel is because I am traveling with my friends. they said they couldn't do anything about it. So I had to come home and my friends were there. So Now I have to drive back there to pick up my friends now. It's an hour and half away. What kind of Hotel does that? Also they charged full amount. I need that back right away.

This is a great hotel with an amazing ocean view. We love the restaurant at top floor. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel this year.

Was okay. Take an old hotel and do some remodeling. Then try to label it as cool. Not really a success here. Still feels old. Rooms a little dirty / dusty. Never got cool. The thermostat just for show. Did not know the hallways are open to the outside. Like an apartment. Elevators are SLOW. Unless you are on an upper floor, the views are obstructed.
