Avoid; outdated and unkept. Mouse feces.
I chose this property based on pictures and one review; poor decision. This listing was a complete misrepresentation from our actual experience. Within one hour of our arrival, I called and left a message for the property management.
Upon entering the grounds, it looked unkept. No one bothered to tidy the grounds prior to our arrival. I placed my bags down and began to gather leaves, dead fronds and put away a garden hose left to fill a non-functioning fountain in the courtyard; potential tripping hazard for my guests and I.
The towels were old, worn and off white with frayed cotton loops. There were no written pool instructions in the property’s welcome booklet. The toilet dispenser in the guest bathroom was broken. Coffee mugs and plates were chipped. Mouse droppings were later discovered in the corner of the master bath’s vanity. The master bedroom’s mattress was as comfortable as sleeping on a plank of wood. The casita has no window covering on the window directly in front of the home’s walkway, instead a wooden room divider was placed for privacy; however, it does not provide adequate coverage.
The property manager’s husband returned my call in the afternoon the FOLLOWING day after I placed a 2nd call earlier that morning. He brought several bath towels with a bottle of persecco which I left in the fridge; no thank you.
Do not be fooled by the pictures, this property is dated with dusty artificial plants throughout, old tile counter tops and an extremely difficult sliding glass door to open leading to the backyard. Good luck trying to lock the ancient dishwasher door. Also, master bedroom has no cable/satellite connection.
I did my best not to share my disappointment with my guests, but, seeing mice running across the backyard was the last straw. At this price point, I expected to maintain/exceed my lifestyle, not suffer in an outdated dusty mouse trap.
Keep looking, this is not the vacation rental that will meet your expectations.
