Casa Alha has lovely views over rolling countryside towards Portimão to the west and the Monchique mountains to the north. Just a few kilometres west of Carvoeiro and close to a number of sandy coves and the wide sandy beach at Ferragudo. Casa Alha also enjoys a location close by the Vale Da Pinta and Gramacho golf courses. A small toddler's playground with swing, slide and climbing frame have been provided in the garden and a splendid swimming pool, surrounded by trimmed lawns, sits in front of the full width veranda with delightful views of the surrounding countryside. Inside, the villa has been tastefully furnished and decorated in a contemporary style. There is an open-plan lounge and dining area, furnished in warm colours, with large patio doors leading to the shaded veranda, pool and outdoor eating area. There is a well equipped kitchen and tiled floors throughout. Upstairs is the master suite and bathroom, as well as a large terrace from which to enjoy the sunset.

A fantastic stay at a comfortable villa in beautiful surroundings

We came out here with our kids (aged 3 and 7 months), and even extended an invite to the grandparents! We throughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa, which is a stone's throw away from the stunning area of Carvoeiro. Gerard as a host was incredible. Extremely helpful and responsive in the build up, as were the property managers who welcomed us and came to say goodbye. If you're looking for a lovely, comfortable stay in a great family-friendly villa, then I'd really recommend it. Also worth paying the small amount to heat the pool (well worth every penny!)

Very enjoyable stay

We are just back from a break here and had a lovely time, the villa is large, 2 floors, lots of room to give everyone their own space! The villa gets the sun all day long whilst also having plenty of shaded areas so it pleases everyone. Our only minor issue was that 2 of the bathroom doors didn’t lock. It is quite out of the way, approx 30 mins from Albufeira, nowhere really to walk to so you definitely need a hire car to get about.all in all a wonderful relaxing break

Loved the pool

The house was nice. Loved the location. We asked to warm the pool to 30C. It was great. The furniture in the living room is tired and saggy and lights in the kitchen were out. Internet was very spotty. But we did have a great time.

Beautiful, spacious, well equipped villa.

We had a wonderful stay at Gerard's lovely villa. We were two families with 3 young children and we had plenty of space and lots to do. Loads of toys and inflatables. The kitchen had everything you would need. Great outdoor spaces for eating and sitting by the pool. Lovely beaches and town nearby. All in all a fantastic stay! Stephanie and David from local office very helpful and responsive with anything we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Perfect for a family

Lovely property in quiet location

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Casa Alha and it was great! Perfect for our party of 6 adults and 3 children. The kitchen is very well equipped (although a non stick pan would be a welcome addition) with plenty or gadgets and cutlery/plates etc. Although it could do with a little modernisation, the living area is spacious but has a lovely cosy feel. Our favourite places to be were the pool and the outdoor dining table which was perfect, especially with the glass 'wind breaks' which were a god send on the windy evenings so we could enjoy dining alfresco and evening games! The pool is cleaned twice a week and I believe the cleaners come once a week to change the sheets/towels etc. Unfortunately, a couple of people in our party caught covid so we changed bedding etc ourselves. There is a small supermarket within walking distance (about 10mins max) with a restaurant 'Luisa's' next door. We got a take away from there one evening as we couldnt eat in. Most restaurants in this area and in Carvoeiro get busy so I'd highly recommend you book a table in advance, especially if a larger party as you may find you can't get somewhere to eat lunch time or evening otherwise. There are a few larger supermarkets within a 10min drive away so car hire would be beneficial although uber is also available in the area which was mostly reliable. We hired a car but we also used uber frequently to take us into carvoeiro which was under €5 during the day and took less than 10mins to get to the main square. Sometimes it can be a bit of a wait for the cars though so bear that in mind if you have booked any trips to give yourself plenty you time. The only additional things I can think of that would improve the villa would be to have locks on the bathroom doors (especially on all those that are shared) and for the additional bed we paid for as a supplement in the children's room to have had a better mattress as it was very thin and quite uncomfortable for my niece to sleep on before we filled it out with blankets! Despite covid restricting our movements so we couldn't explore as much as we had hoped, we had a perfect stay at Casa Alha. Thankyou!

Although we had a nice holiday at Casa Alha it could have been much better. Over all the property is very comfortable but dated. The property manager was unfriendly and unhelpful throughout our stay. We pointed out various issues and each time ‘it was our fault’……. The TV did not work, the air con in Bed 1 did not work, there was no pool cover (eventually one was installed), the pool was filthy on our arrival and the outside shower blocked and dirty (this was tackled near the end of our 4 week stay), dangerous raised bolts by the pool, exposed rusty nails on the sand pit cover etc etc. The Villa should have been handed over for rental as advertised and made so by the property manager.

I would definitely recommend Casa Alpha

Had a fantastic stay in casa alpha. The villa is situated in quiet area which was perfect but also is only few minutes drive from carvoeiro, portimao or lagoa. Absolutely perfect!

Just perfect for us

The property is very spacious and immaculately clean. We were a family of grandparents, parents and young grandchildren and the villa was just perfect for our needs. The location is also great with local shops and restaurants nearby as are the lovely beaches. One tip- we stayed in April and having the pool heated for the grandchildren is a must.

Just wonderful..

Property is really lovely . Lovely layout. Lots of thoughtful enhancements. You can tell it's primarily a lovingly looked after family home first and a rental a distant second. The pool is a very good size and heating available. The seating areas inside and out are excellent. The kitchen and supplies are well beyond expectations. And the agent responsiveness was extremely good. The smallest caveat is that garden/ play area is a little limited but we really didn't mind since the pool area was spectacular. The location is excellent for beaches and town with a very good convenience store and pizza takeaway steps away.

Lovely location and villa with a view

We had a lovely holiday in this villa which is fully equipped to fulfil your needs right down to a bottle opener. The local agent David was wonderful, meeting us ahead of check in and providing not only information but a very appreciated welcome pack of essentials. David was on hand all the time to assist and did so discreetly. The pool is great although prone to filling with leaves due to the heavy but beautiful planting around but clearing it daily became part of the experience for us. Location is good for all amenities and a little gem was Luisas resteraunt which is a 15 minute walk from the villa and serves fresh and delicious food and also does take away, well worth a visit. We spent 10 days in the villa and enjoyed each one. Although quite central, the villa is very tranquil and the view of the sea and mountains let us enjoy glorious sunsets .

We spend a wonderful time in a magnificent villa in a quiet area with surprising vieuws of the ocean, the city of Portimão and the mountains of Monchique. The villa Casa Alha is well equipted, the pool is nice and the surrounding garden offers privacy. This home was, unfortunately tempory, our castle. Maria van de Kimmenade.

Magnifique villa avec une très belle vue. Grace à la couverture de la piscine on avait 28 degrés fin mars. La villa est très bien équipée il ne manque rien on peut même garer deux voitures dans l’allée. Lits confortables et salles de bains nickels, il y a même des peignoirs fournis. Nous y reviendrons certainement!

Casa Alha , un havre de paix

Tout d’abord un grand Merci à Gérard pour sa disponibilité et pour tous les arrangements qui nous ont été accordés .( chgt jour arrivée et départ après réservation , et réception de la maison le matin ..) Grande villa très bien entretenue et d’un calme que nous avons vraiment apprécié … Le bonheur de profiter d’une sieste ou d’un bon bouquin autour de la grande piscine et aller s’y rafraîchir très souvent 😉 on peut être 8 dedans sans problème avec une vue sur la mer au loin… un vrai régal … Les différentes chambres sont spacieuses et propres , placard avec cintres et étagères pour ranger toute la valise 😊 Dans la cuisine , on trouve les mêmes accessoires qu’à la maison , fait suffisamment rare dans une location pour être souligné et très apprécié ! Le barbecue parfait ! On se sent très bien à Casa Alha , Gérard a tout mis en place pour que ses hôtes passent un excellent séjour et c’est réussi !!! De plus , la Villa est idéalement située pour découvrir les plus beaux sites de la région …et il y a tous les commerces nécessaires à proximité. Nous vous recommandons vivement un séjour dans ce Havre de paix … Virginie France
